"If you’re into being treated like you’ve done something wrong for existing by crunchy oldsters just for fun then stay here. But if you’re road weary and just want to have a nice day, try somewhere else. Night staff seemed fine BUT the morning staff was a bit emotionally unstable and sent us off in a taxi reeking of weed. At about 7:45 the morning of checkout, I went down to the front desk to confirm if the shuttle bus would be on time at 8am for a flight. Unfortunately the older lady with light colored hair at the desk acted aggressive and very brusque and unwelcoming with furtive mannerisms and terse tone. If you’re not familiar with Homer there are more head shops than grocery stores. Weed psychosis is a thing here and the police let the town run amok with the kind of people that are everywhere: front desk staff included; And DUIs operating taxi services."

Communication was smooth, welcoming, and thoughtful from start to finish. It’s rare to find a place that combines comfort, cleanliness, privacy, and genuine care this well.If you’re looking for a quiet retreat, a comfortable stay, and a place that reflects true Alaskan charm this is it. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"The cabin was perfect for our needs. Everything was clean, all the cooking supplies we needed, lots of small touches like motion lights in the kitchen and outhouse and slippers. The fireplace made the place very cozy and my kids loved having the upstairs to themselves and the treat of a TV and DVD player! The location could not be beat for the event we were attending just a mile down the road! "
