"We really enjoyed being based at this lovely accommodation to explore the region. It was lovely to come back to the property after a day spent walking and enjoying local French cuisine. It is a peaceful place ideal for relaxing with a cold beer and a nice glass of wine on the patio. Come night time the sky often revealed an array of stars because there is very little light pollution in the area. Overall the property is well thought out, well equipped and finished to a good standard. Nicolas our...

Top Firbeix Hotel Reviews

Hôtel Auberge du Fin Chapon - Dordogne

10/10 Excellent

"Just an excellent stay! Rooms are quite basic, but have everything you need. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food is exceptional! Really good value for money, and a great local hotspot. Would highly recommend and absolutely be back. We are getting married in Excideuil in 2027 and we are recommending this place to guests as we enjoyed our stay so much. 4 stars for amenities as unfortunately we didn't have any hot water during our stay."

Country House with Pool; Sleeps 14

10/10 Excellent

"We had a fabulous family holiday in this property. Very well equipped, outside kitchen was a dream and a particular bonus with small children who could be supervised easily. Hèléne, the host was extremely responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this property."

Pretty House classified 3 stars near Brantome with pool

8/10 Good

Périgord. gite sleeps 8 or 12, 4*, private heated pool, large open spaces.

10/10 Excellent

8/10 Good

"We booked this stay as a single night on our way further south in France. We arrived around 15:30 to a peaceful and scenic location which was ideal having travelled for almost 20 hours. The house is very comfortable with a good kitchen and great rooms for our needs, especially travelling with three young kids. The garden is fantastic with the swimming pool, scenic pond and lots of areas to sit and enjoy the late afternoon sun and eat our tea.We enjoyed a swim in the pool which is being finished currently, when it’s done it will be idyllic.Kamila was a great host, welcomed us when we arrived but also allowed us the privacy to enjoy our stay. We will be back I’m sure."

Castle in Dordogne in the land of truffles. Park, heated pool

10/10 Excellent

"This is the best place that I have ever stayed in. It’s truly magnificent. Historic, luxurious, serene and romantic. The staff were impeccable. The food was stunning. The grounds and amenities are second to none. Get a room in the main chateau if you can, they are absolutely fabulous. I cannot say enough great things about this property."
