"We had a comfortable week at the Oslo hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the view really beautiful. Our stay included a nice breakfast. Good restaurants near by."

Sapientia Boutique Hotel

"If you are going to Coimbra to see the university and its ancient library, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Sapientia is across a small street from the entrance to the library and a few steps from the university. It's in the heart of the wonderful, old historic area of Coimbra. Our room was as large as an apartment and quite comfortable. Sapientia is built right on top of a 16th century cistern that you can see below the glass floor. One wall of the breakfast room/restaurant is part of an ancient wall belonging to the buildings that once stood there. It's very cool. My only complaint about the hotel is the breakfast. It was strange. They have eggs, for example, but they are cold. Not cold as in 'cooled off' but actually ice cold. Same with the pancakes. Oddly, we had dinner in the same space as the breakfast, and it was excellent. So one small complaint about an otherwise great place."

"It was just ok. Need some update here and there but you got what you paid for. Closed to almost everywhere, near super market and coin laundry. But Coimbra itself is very walkable city. I stayed for one night, and most of time I was out enjoying the city. In my opinion it need more lights inside the room. Staff were helpful though"

"A warm welcome from the receptionist started our stay well. The room was very clean and well set up. It was spacious and had everything we needed. Plenty of hanging space and drawers. Air conditioning worked well during a very hot night. Coffee machine and kettle, safe and fridge. Rituals toiletries. Location was excellent, right in the middle of the town but not noisy. We did not have breakfast but it looked good. Small roof top terrace with seating and an honesty bar. Public, free, car park adjacent. All staff encountered were friendly."
