"Villa Appiani is at a great location to get to center of Florence without being right in the center of it. It's a quite location where you can relax after a day of sightseeing and they have a great resturant. Also they provide shuttle service to the entrance of Florence at no extra cost. "I was surprised to see that it was a shared kitchen with one other guest. The bed wasn't comfortable, old mattresses. The place was clean, not quiet due to children playing all day outside. The owner also texted me that I had to check in by 19:30 which made it very difficult, but he eventually agreed to meet me at 20:00. Also, the owner insisted on taking a picture of my passport. "Lovely hotel a 5-minute walk from the train station, subway stations and a grocery store. Our room was modern, comfortable and clean. The staff was wonderful and helpful. We took the subway (people along the way always helped us as needed) to the Duomo and back. We would definitely stay here again. "
