Our stay in Riad was absolutely great. The team arranged a transfer from the airport and met us at the drop off location. Riad is conveniently located next to Medina and local gems. The interior of the riad is magnificent.
From the second we stepped in we were given a warm welcome by the team. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay unforgettable. From recommendations, to arranging the transfers, setting up for us beautiful and delicious breakfasts and dinners. We can’t thank them enough for their hospitality
If you go anticipating a kind of faded glory, Moroccan grand Riad on the edge of the Medina then you will be pleased with your choice. Great view from the rooftop. Tea on arrival. Yousaf explained where we should visit. A really good time.
Also in March – and probably slightly out of the season – it was not too busy. And modestly priced.
Definitely worth a visit.
What a pleasant surprise when we entered the property. It’s beautiful and peaceful inside. Would love to have stayed longer. Will try to go back. Staff very friendly, beautiful/ comfortable room. delicious breakfast
Wonderful place. Live like a Nazari Emir in Granada. The house was only built 60 years ago but looks like it is from the 16th century. Very attentive service and great location at the edge of the medina.
Amazing! They will make you feel like royalty. The food is delicious and the staff are very helpful. We did notice two cockroaches on the last day which is why I reduced the rating to 4 stars for cleanliness but otherwise really incredible place!! Must stay. We would definitely stay there again.
Excellent welcome and staff. Breakfast was good, and assistance with luggage was excellent. The area around the property was difficult to see because the property was located on a very narrow street in the old town, and we did not have much time to investigate. Also, it's not possible to drive into the property location. You need assistance with luggage to get inside.
We booked this Riad for our quick impromptu trip to Fez for coupe of days. We had a great experience staying at Le Grand Alcazar - Riad is beautiful, clean, has stunning architecture and convenient located to Fez Medina. It’s walking distance to major sightseeing: Blue gate, Bou Inania Madrasa, Al Attarine Madra and more. Staff were very friendly, especially YUSUF! Yusuf is your go to person for anything you need, he can help you with booking day trip, recommendation for food, can bring you charger if your forgot yours, you name it and he will make it happen for you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Overall great location, great place, nice view from terrace, lots of vegetarian options for food near by. I highly recommend this place.
This was a disappointing stay and our least favorite riad during our whole 2 weeks in Morocco. The riad is very basic, the room was cramped and stifling. Basically the opposite of grand. The staff was kind, helpful and attentive, which was the saving grace. If you choose to stay here, expect a 3 star facility.
Was a very nice Riad, but staff was limited in able to answer our questions. The Fez medina is one of the largest and very hard to navigate, so a little help would have been nice (as they did in Marrakesh). But there was no one really around to answer these questions. Othmane was available to call, but hard to navigate this over the phone. Also, our booking was for 4 adults and the 2 single beds are not suitable for adults. They are 2/3rds the size of a single bed and not a full length. May work for a child but definitely not for an adult. The breakfast was excellent.
Wonderful Riad in a perfect location- inside the Medina but with quick access with luggage. Truly stunning decor. Quiet and very comfortable, large Honeymoon Suite.
The staff is exceptional, making you feel welcome and will help with tours, transportation etc. This is not just a hotel - it’s an experience in itself.
