  • Step back in time and vacation in style at this beautifully and conveniently located Victorian gem. Built in 1878, the White House is rich with charm, character, and history—offering an authentic Ferndale experience you won’t soon forget. Thoughtfully decorated with heirloom, period-inspired furnishings, the home captures a bygone era while still providing modern comfort. The home also features a remarkable collection of vintage photographs showcasing the region’s rich heritage—from early loggers and dairymen to historic scenes of Ferndale, Eureka, Arcata, and Fortuna. Staying here feels like stepping into a living museum. Please note that this home is TUB ONLY with shower wand. Aromatic bath salts are provided for a relaxing bath. There is NOT a stand up shower.

    A separate Redwood Travels Rental Agreement will need to be signed at the time of booking.

This house was filled with antiques and memorabilia out of the 1800's and 1900's. It was like stepping back in time except for the modern kitchen, bathroom and WIFI. Walking around the town of Ferndale was also a step back in time. The fenced yard made it nice for us and the dogs. And we were only a few miles to the beach and the Redwoods! I would highly recommend this house to family and friends.
