What a beautiful hotel, stunning location admidst the Black Forest but only 5 mins from the train station with regular free (with the guestcard they provide at check in) trains all around the region. The family that run it and their staff are all really lovely and kind. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the food in the restaurant for dinner and the included breakfast is fantastic! I only stayed one night but wished I was staying longer, highly recommended winter (there is skiing in the village) or summer, a lovely place indeed!

War im großen und ganzen okay. Nichts besonderes. Das Personal könnte insgesamt freundlicher sein. Wir haben beim Frühstück ein Gespräch zwischen der Servicekraft und einen Gast mitbekommen, in welchem über andere Gäste nicht wirklich schön gesprochen wurde. Muss nicht sein! Im Zimmer Nr. 11 hat es gemuffelt. Keine Ahnung nach was, wir hatten immer das Fenster gekippt. Ganz genau darf man nicht hinsehen. Dicke Staubschicht auf dem Heizkörper im Bad etc. Das Restaurant war ok. ich hatte das Steak mit krossen Kartoffeln und Gemüse bestellt. Bei Gemüse zum Steak geh ich in der Regel von Paprika, Zwiebel, vielleicht auch Champions oder Zucchini aus. Serviert wurde Grünkohl. Mag man oder mag man nicht. Für mich absolutes No-Go. Wenn auf der Karte gestanden hätte "saisonales Gemüse" hätte ich nachgefragt um was es sich für Gemüse handelt. Oder Grünkohl auf der Karte, dann hätte ich mir was anderes bestellt. Man geht grundsätzlich nicht von Grünkohl als Beilage zum Steak aus. So ging dieser wieder zurück in die Küche. Man bot mir stattdessen einen Salat an, was ich natürlich bejahte. Nach 5 Minuten kam jemand und meinte, dass ich diesen dann extra bezahlen müsste. Hat mich ehrlicherweise bei den Preisen des Restaurants geärgert und ich habe darauf verzichtet. Etwas unschön gelaufen. Beim auschecken fand ich die Dame auch nicht unbedingt freundlich. Wir wollten die Rechnung getrennt bezahlen. Der Gesichtsausdruck sprach Bände. Wie gesagt, im großen und ganzen ist für den Preis ok.
