"This is a lovely hotel - but it could be so much more. There is evident history here but it is sorely in need of updating and redecorating. Great staff, priceless views, a very good kitchen and a welcoming lounge - all good. This is a hundred year old building so the rooms are compact at best. Would I book to stay there again - yes I would."

"It was by far the most charming place we've ever stayed in. AND just across the street from the train station (noise not a problem) so very convenient with luggage. Their breakfast buffet (not included but very reasonably priced) was good and plentiful. Around the corner from bus stops, with many local eateries within a couple blocks. Had a game room with pool table, library, bar, just can't say enough nice things about it."
