Clean , comfortable , spacious. Comfortable bed . Heater was appreciated on a damp day and the bedding options were good. Recommend for an overnight stay. Local cafe was good for evening dinner - nothing fancy but beautifully cooked.

Carnegies and Fairlie Bakehouse were culinary highlights of the trip. Great food and service.

Nice quiet town. Friendly people. Good shops. Best pies ever at the Bakehouse bakery. Close to Tekapo springs and much nicer to stay than commercialised Tekapo, which at the time was undergoing lakefront construction work.
