What to do in Fairfax
Golden Gate Bay Cruise - Sail Around Alcatraz! (1-hour)
"Stayed here multiple times. Super middle of Marin location. Town Center shopping and dining and cafes, supermarket right across the street. As an ex local i always stay here to be conveniently located to south Marin and San Rafael and Novato. Resort hotel with pool and hot tub enables us to haha great meet-up and hosting environment for my friends. It makes me feel like I still live here. 15 minutes drive to the city. Also one of the areas least foggy even when the city and Sausalito are socked...
"Very authentic 1930s feel. Wonderful staff, very helpful. Parking was easy; I had my own garage. The kitchen was OK; the stove/oven was basic but certainly adequate—good supply of pots and pans, but only enough settings for two (i.e., 2 forks, 2 knives, and 2 spoons). However, heating was not adequate for chilly SF nights."
