"We stay here because it is convenient for visiting family. The bed was comfortable however with the high temperature it was difficult to sleep. The fan is not adequate enough to cool down the room. We have stayed here lots of times however the shower in this room was the worst one that we had."

"Just spent 3 nights to do races then explore the area. When racing is on pub gets very busy and there was a live band on till late. For us this was brilliant as had a great night and who goes to the races for quiet time. Stayed a couple of days after and totally changes to nice quiet hotel with a good sports bar downstairs. Special mention to the breakfasts which were some of the best I've had at any hotel.Staff were lovely and we used buses which stop opposite to visit Cambridge."

"I didn't feel that the breakfast justified the £13 price, so I probably wouldn't choose that again. The restaurant prices were about what I'd expect for a decent pub meal, and the pie was absolutely delicious – easily the highlight of the food for me. One downside was that the bar and seating area, which was the only comfortable place to sit and do some work on my laptop, closed at 9:30 pm. After that, there was nowhere suitable to work or socialise other than outside, the reception area, or returning to the room. The reception area wasn't really practical for working, and the room itself only had a small table, making it less suitable as a workspace. As a result, once the bar closed, you were effectively confined to your room for the rest of the evening. Would I stay there again? Possibly, if there were no better alternatives available, but it wouldn't be my first choice."
