This was our favorite place so far. The have a great view of the ocean. Place was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Very comfortable, clean and spacious self-contained studio above the garage on the owners’ property, just across the road from the steps down to Luffenholtz beach. While the studio faces away from the coast, the sound of the waves can be heard with the balcony doors open. Don’t forget to explore the gardens surrounding the property, absolutely gorgeous. The road into the property is rough in places but our low clearance car had no trouble. We loved the beachy feel of Trinidad and found this the perfect place to explore Redwoods National Park.

Spectacular

My husband and I have stay in this lovely cottage several times. It is so relaxing, quiet and comfortable. Beautiful ocean view from the garden, where you can watch the sunset. The property is very secluded, but just few minutes from the adorable town of Trinidad. Whereyou can find

Lovely Seaside Cottage

This was a perfect place for a dual get-away weekend and wedding celebration. Loved hearing the ocean waves in the morning while on the deck and admiring the natural beauty of this magnificent part of California!

Luffenholtz stay

What a beautiful location. Nestled in the woods, a short walk from Luffenholtz Beach, which is very special. Incredibly quiet and private. It was a joy to stay there.

Luffenholtz Delight

Great location! 2miles to Trinidad and 103 steps to Luffenholtz beach. Owners are a delight and the grounds are immaculate! We divided our time between sitting in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean, walking along the beach, birding and visiting historic sights in the area.

Sound of the surf from room.

Excellent location. Away from town but very short drive to restaurants and grocery. You could hear the sound of the surf from the room. Short but steep walk to the beach. Owners were very helpful when I had a problem with my car. An excellent stay. Would highly recommend.

An absolute gem

We enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The property has beautiful gardens and you are steps from the beach. Tom and Tom were incredibly welcoming, responsive and on point with their recommendations for restaurants and coffee. We loved their dog, Lucy, who is super sweet. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was very clean. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful retreat, this is the spot!

The Perfect Getaway

My husband and I love the redwoods and the Northern Coast, so we decided to stay in Trinidad. By luck we landed at The Seaside Cottage and were able to bask in both while staying cozy & comfortable in this sweet studio.

Clean, comfortable, quiet cottage in the woods but near the waves. So special!

My husband and I had a very nice stay at this lovely beach cottage. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We were nestled in the trees but could hear the waves nearby. Such a nice experience! This was exactly what we wanted. A beautiful few and peace and quite at the end of the day! The place is stunning with all the beautiful plants. Our few of the ocean from the beautiful front lawn was amazing. Access to the beach was easy. Trinidad is a quiet little town. We loved it here

This is a quiet, lovely property located across the beach! It’s a beautiful little getaway and close to Trinidad Harbor. There is a casino a mile down the road but you would never know that! Lots of beaches to hike!

Beautiful respite near the sea

Fabulous private location just across the road from a secluded beach. Comfortable and clean with nice furnishings. Gorgeous property! The sound of the nearby creek and ocean is so relaxing! Just south of the town of Trinidad with easy access to the 101 as well to explore the redwoods.
