We really enjoyed our relaxing stay at the View Crest Lodge after a busy few days in San Francisco. We arrived late in the evening due to unforseen circumstances and the staff went out of their way to help us with checking in our bags and with late dining options. The location is exceptional being right on the water. We were very impressed with the service and location and would gladly stay here again.

Great staff and the room facilities were excellent

A.

I very much appreciated the friendliness of the owners and having the privacy of the separate accomodation was a bonus. The town is lovely and worth a visit.

A good place to overnight on a road trip

Beautiful buildings and friendly staff.

Wonderful ambience and setting amongst the redwoods. So quiet & great sleep after exploring nearby ancient wonders. Would have loved a few day’s here

The afternoon Tea was delicious. Great cook. All the staff were helpful.

We stayed three nights, visiting Jedediah Smith Redwoods on one day, and Crescent City and the Trees of Mystery (Klamath) on the other day. Howonquet Lodge was perfect for us. Dining and breakfast options and portions were ample in the restaurant. We’d stay again if we were in the region.

We had a fantastic stay at the Victorian Inn and Ferndale was an unexpected treasure on our trip to see the amazing redwoods on the Avenue of the Giants. Jenny is the most incredibly welcoming host - we can’t wait to get home and try the carrot cake recipe!!!
