"The Cedar House didn't disappoint. It is decorated in Texas theme and there are so many antique chochkies, it took us all weekend to find them. This house is walking distance to the square where there is shopping and food. We could also walk to SHSU campus on a nice day. There were clean, fresh towels in both bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and well fitted with fresh linens and fluffy pillows.The best part, was the basket of "forgots" in the bathroom; stocked with razors, hair ties, chapstick, etc. Your choice 1. This saved us a trip to the store for the smaller toilettries. While the kitchen was stocked with utensils, plates and every spice you could need. I wished for a "forgot" basket in the kitchen too. We were short on gallon ziplocks, limes, throw away tupperware and our basic condiments. My son has 3 more semesters left in Huntsville, I hope we can make it back to one of the houses in the future."

"We showed up got our room and the first room had bugs on the floor, room reeked of smoke and both beds had nasty stains on both of the beds. Went to take to the lady’s working the front desk for a different room went there and the next room on the other side of the property smelled more like smoke and had even more stains on both beds. "

"Room had a few missed items from cleaning crew, but overall it was nice. AC worked excellent and didn't have a funky smell like some hotels. "

"Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel is a little rundown, hall had a damp smell, remote control on TV did not work, missing tiles in the bathroom. It was clean and in a convenient location . "
