"This home is set in a location with absolute privacy and beautiful unobstructed views off the huge covered patio while still being 5 minutes from a grocery store and 10 minutes from downtown Christiansted. The house has been well maintained and was very clean with new jalousie windows storm doors and screen doors. Furniture and beds also seem to be updated and well kept. The pool was also a very nice amenity set away from the home to take advantage of views and trade winds. "

10/10 Excellent

"I had a wonderful stay in St. Croix. The hotel room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing ocean view that made every morning feel relaxing. The bed was comfortable, and the room stayed cool even during the warmer afternoons. The air conditioning went out for 1 day due to an old system when one room turns it off it shuts down all the rooms but i am not a big fan of air conditioning so I was fine. We opened the balcony door which there was a wonderful breeze that entered the room. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with recommendations for beaches and local restaurants. I also loved how close the hotel was to the waterfront and nearby attractions. The hotel was better than i expected and was on the boardwalk. Overall, this was a peaceful and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to St. Croix."

"I held back on writing a review, but after thinking about it and remembering that this is a business and people like me save their money and want the best bang for their buck. First off the Waze app doesn't work the best on the island, found Google maps works a ton better. The condo is small and great for a couple. Tracy provides lots creature comforts, cooler, beach chairs, sun block, condiments, etc. You'll need to buy bottled water, can't drill for freshwater on the island. The unit has a single portable AC unit, and it keeps the bedroom somewhat comfortable. The rest of the unit get pretty warm, the fans take the edge off. The shower valve is backwards and does not get warm enough. The place has a good base, but needs some upgrades. The pool was redone recently and was good. The complex is clean and maintained, Anthony is doing a great job keeping the place up and deserves a raise and a helper. Thanks to Barbara, she went out of her way to help and showed us around. Everyone we met there was nice, very friendly. P.S. Foodtown is the most expensive grocery store in the area, shop around for better. Good luck driving on the wrong side of the road and watch out for potholes!! May 2026"

The Waves at Cane Bay

"Truly, this property is stunning. I can't imagine it is possible to have a room with a bigger balcony or better view anywhere else on St. Croix. For privacy, The Waves gets an A++ and the onsite restaurant, AMA, is spectacular. That being said, after our initial awe, we did run into some frustrations. Neither the restaurant nor the bar on property are open daily. (Thankfully the nearby Landing Bar and Off the Wall serve great food!) There is really no place to hangout onsite other than your room or balcony. The property does offer chairs you can take to the beach, but honestly, the chairs appeared to be 20 years old; faded, frayed and rusty. We were provided with beach towels in the room, but these were also thread bare and discolored. These "amenities" definitely did not match up to the standards of the beautifully designed room. The bathroom is small and the tiny shower does not have a door, so it makes a huge mess. I will say the Malin & Goetz toiletries are a nice touch though! We received full cleaning service every day, but staff here is scarce. We did receive regular communications via text, but that got weird when we received a text accusing us of breaking a wine glass and causing injury to a housekeeper. We did not break a glass, but even if we did - the back and forth was unnecessary and bizarre. Ultimately, The Waves at Cane Bay has Ritz Carlton aesthetics, but unfortunately, it's akin to a Motel 6 when it comes to service and amenities."

"There was no breakfast scheduled. They did not offer an explanation. They hosted a prom on Saturday evening and the guests were basically ignored during the evening and morning after. The food was not appetizing!! The rooms were clean, however, we realized that the sliding door would not lock. Maintenance came to take a look nonchalantly and left without a solution. There was no security latch on the front door as well. We packed up to leave and was offered another room. That room was freezing at 16C, and there was no way to adjust it. The internet was down most of the stay. Needless to say we clocked out around 9 o’clock instead of 11 o’clock. They were busy cleaning up from the previous night. No apology was given."

"From the time we booked to checkout, the experience was absolutely excellent. Delia ensured we had everything we needed even before we areived. During our stay Melissa, Angela, Paula and I know I'm leaving someone out provided a great bar and good experience. We were there during a slower time so it felt like we had a private resort. The beach is beautiful. We will definitely choose to stay there again on our next trip."
