Awesome, private location that allowed us to explore both sides of Glacier National Park! We loved relaxing here after hiking each day. The back porch was a great hangout area. The house was equipped with a lot of great items!
The house was great for our stay while we explored Glacier National Park! It was well stocked from kitchen items to bear spray! We would definitely stay here again!
A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Plenty of space for everyone, well stocked kitchen if making your own meals, and a great quiet spot if you have spent a busy day in the park. The owner's communication was great with directions and grocery stores. When going to Glacier National Park you must see each side of the park and so this is thr perfect to stay to do that.
Spacious, clean, well stocked cabin. Rustic interior that adds to the “Montana” experience. Convenient to both east and west entrances of GNP. We also explored Kalispell and took a boat tour of Flathead Lake. Getting around is convenient with the Montana state highway system. We had and awesome week.
It rained, a lot, during our stay but we still had a great time with our grandsons because the house was wonderful. We played a lot of card games that we brought with us, and several of the games that were there. We had space to spread out or be together. We had one night when we were able to enjoy a fire. We had 1 day of beautiful hiking to Avalanche Lake, 1 day of scenic rafting ( chilly but gorgeous), enjoyed local restaurants and shopped in Whitefish on a rainy day. We would definitely stay here again. The house was super clean, well stocked and in a perfect location.
Beautiful property. Large open gathering areas. Great location. I was a little worried that it would be too remote. That wasn’t a problem. The internet service was great. We did not miss being able to stream videos or text/call. I almost didn’t want to leave the cabin. It was so nice and cozy. We even were able to see the Northern lights! I’m glad we stayed in Essex as we spent most of our time on the East side of Glacier, even though we were technically closer to the west. Loved the little extra things. Huckleberry pancake mix was a fun surprise. Everything in the description was spot on except I think 10 people would not fit comfortably if at all. All in all it’s a great place, great location, great hosts. We’d love to stay here again. Maybe in the winter. There’s a great path right by the cabin. Didn’t see any bears. Saw a deer. Heard lots of birds. Loved being surrounded by pine trees. Absolutely gorgeous.
This was the perfect house for our GNP trip! Great location and beautiful property. We travel frequently with VRBO and we appreciate the little touches like adequate cutlery, bottle openers, cleanliness, etc.. Can’t wait to come back!
Perfect and beautiful location! The house is amazing! The beds were very hard, And 1 full bed upstairs ended up being an air mattress.Amenities and cleanliness were outstanding
This is a great place to stay! Excellent location right off Highway 2 with close access to either of the main park entrances. It is clean, well furnished, has lots of room, and a great yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had even more time!
“Perfect location” is not hyperbole - this was an amazing retreat and home base for an week exploring Glacier National Park. Our family of seven (2 grandsons, 2 adult daughters, 1 son-in-law, and the 2 of us) had plenty of room for privacy and time together. Kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals at home or to take with us on day trips. Fire pit with lots of firewood, Blackstone grill on the deck, and full-size washer & dryer were extra nice features. You will be blown away by this clean, comfortable, and peaceful place to call home for a few days.
The place is truly a hidden gem and a must stay if you are hiking glacier. The owners were very easy and enjoyable to deal with. I definitely will be back. Thank you!
We absolutely loved it. The mattresses were so nice and it was so quiet. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and everything was easy to use. We would come back in a heart beat and this time stay longer.
The cabin was well furnished, clean and comfortable. We (family of 7 adults) gathered around the firepit every evening after hiking and enjoyed the cool nights. The cabin is perfectly situated between west and east Glacier NP, offering options for everyone. We would certainly stay here again if we are come back to GNP!
