Luxury Mountain Cabin. Minutes from East Glacier and Essex

Luxury Mountain cabin completely remodeled minutes from East Glacier and Essex.
Location Halfway between East Glacier to Essex on the southern tip of Glacier Park.
Accommodations: 1 Bed, Loft and 1 bath. Sleeps 6.

Our mountain cabin has been completely remodeled- new beds, furniture, appliances, cabinets, flooring, bathroom, TV, BBQ, and deck furniture.

The cabin is located 18 minutes West of East Glacier and 10 minutes East of Essex. Property is 1/2 mile off of U.S. #2. The Southern border of the lot is the Great Bear Wilderness. With a view of Glacier Park out the front window.

The cabin is very private with a creek running thru the back and Deer, Elk, and Moose often visible from the back deck. Although Private, the cabin has all the comforts: Satellite TV . . Grocery, Golfing, Shopping, Amtrak and Glacier Park Entrance are only 15 miles away at East Glacier. Or you can travel 10 miles West and visit the historic Issak Walton Inn. If you are a horse person you have access to a barn and corrals within walking distance of the cabin, or you can set up a trip with our neighbor down the road who is a licensed wilderness Guide for Hunting, Fishing, Riding or Pack Trips.

During the winter months, the road is kept plowed with 100 yards of the cabin so it becomes a great retreat for skiers and snowmobilers. With private runs behind the cabin and Mt. Sheels, Elk Mt. and Snow Slip Mt. right out the front window.

This is a very exclusive, private cabin, one of a kind with all Glacier Park has to offer, within minutes of the front porch.
Please be sure to download the Rental Agreement after booking this cabin. It has all the information and directions for the cabin.

Great stay in the woods
Two couples enjoyed our three nights on this property. Quiet and peaceful! The place was clean and came as advertised. Great experience. We did ask the owner to check the coffee maker. It made coffee but was very slow. The property gives access to both the West Glacier and St Mary entrances to Glacier NP. We discovered the St Mary entrance was less congested than West Glacier, so appreciated the flexibility to use either entrance.

Great vacation and the pictures of the cabin do not do it justice. From the house you were surrounded by woods with no other cabin in sight. We cooked and ate every meal at the cabin for the week. Perfectly located between both West and East Glacier.

Beautiful cabin in the woods!
We had no problem finding the cabin and loved it as soon as we seen it.Secluded back off main road in a quiet neighborhood with privacy.Great firepit area but we couldn't use it due to fire restrictions. It was still great hanging out on the back deck.No cell service or wi-fi was not a problem for my wife and I we would have it on way to east or west glacier.Great base for exploring east or west glacier, very clean,we loved our stay!

unplugged
Very nice cabin, other than coffee maker needs replaced, it was extremely noisy and took 30 minutes to make a pot of coffee. Very unfriendly neighbor/ cleaning lady. A little hard to find once off main road, vegitation needs to be trimmed! No cell service or Wifi so you are definitely unplugged. Hard to figure out using tv, 3 remotes and no directions! Very beautiful, well kept cabin.

Cabin in the Woods
This home was truly beautiful. The wood working of the staircase, table, chairs and bed posts was amazing workmanship. The place was spotless and everything was in good working order. A top class place for sure. It had a nice view of the mountain out the one bedroom window and in the back outside. The deck had a robins nest above and we got to watch the robin sit on her nest as the babies were hatching. A real neat experience. The Lodgepine trees in the back yard were awesome. We love the outdoors and nature. There is a stream that runs along the backside of the property and you could hear it bubbling in the evening as we sat around the fire. The only issue we had was, that is was stated wood was available for our use but the wood really was unusable. It was not split and the axe provided had a broken handle and the saw was too dull to cut anything. The wood chunks were too big to fit in the ring provided. We drove an hour into Columbia Falls and bought a new axe and saw and split up a bunch of wood, which we left most of for the next person. We really liked sitting around the campfire in the evenings and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, but it was difficult to have a fire at all until we split the wood provided into smaller usable chunks. My recommendation would be to offer a new, quality axe for splitting wood or have the wood split already. Oh also, many people were writing it was hard to find. We found it very easily. It's well marked and the directions were good.

Lovely cabin in the woods
We loved the wild flowers around the cabin and the birds were singing every morning and evening. A robin had her nest with 3 baby birds in it under the eave above the back porch. We didn't see any large wildlife, but a curious squirrel tried to visit until the mama robin chased it away. So relaxing without the interuption of cell phones.
