Our review of the Dashwood Manor is pretty mixed. On the plus side, the staff was friendly the location is excellent and the bed was comfortable. But for the price we paid, we expected more. There is zero room cleaning during your stay, which was surprising. The breakfasts were just ok, and were identical both days we were there except eggs were replaced by pancakes the second day. The room we were in - the Dorset - is on the third floor, and the bathroom ceiling has an extreme pitch. This made it so anyone over 4' tall can't see themselves in the mirror over the sink. There is a larger mirror on the other side of the bathroom, but there's no lighting there. The shower was so tiny we couldn't bend over to wash our feet.

A beautiful hotel with a rich history! You can't beat the view of the harbor and location for activities. Plus, the Visitor's Center, harbor taxies and tour busses are all within a block. The room was clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly, parking was safe and breakfast was exceptional. There was even a Nespresso machine in the room! This is such good value. We were on the main floor and was surprised at how quiet our room actually was.
