3 Bedroom cabin on South Pond in Stark NH

"The cottage was clean, roomy, and equipped with everything we needed (and more!). It was comfortable and the decor has lots of charming details. We had wonderful weather, but had it been rainy out we would have been cozy and well-entertained anyway. We didn’t even get to the jigsaw puzzles or video collection. We paddled the kayaks out onto the pond one morning to enjoy the foliage amidst a bit of mist and it was serene and beautiful — it was great to be able to easily do that. Communication with the hosts was easy and we didn’t need much of it — they had already thought of everything. Would definitely stay there again."

"I've traveled a fair amount in New England, and so far this is easily in my top three places to stay.The cabin itself is beautiful and was very clean on arrival. Check-in was simple, and our host's communication was excellent. Just enough to give us all of the information that we needed and to make us feel welcome, but not at all intrusive. Love that from a host.And then there was the view.I'm not much of a wordsmith so I don't have the words to do it justice, but adjectives like "breathtaking" and "stunning" leap to mind. The first night we were treated to a sky that was blanketed with stars - honestly I've never seen anything quite like it despite having visited several dark sky sites. The next morning we awoke to a spectacular sunrise, and a heavy mist that had descended across the lakes that the cabin overlooks. It was as though the clouds had fallen from the sky, and the mountains had reached out to gently catch them. You could wait a lifetime to see something so spectacular.A glass of wine (generously provided by our host) by the fire pit was a highlight of our second night. Mountains, lakes, a fire, wine, and fresh air. Do I need to say that we slept like logs in the very comfortable bed?The only disappointment was leaving after such a delightful mini-vacation. I would highly recommend this property and the host to anyone looking to recharge and experience the majesty of New England."

"This place is really nice and deceptively large! It's family friendly and the host is super accommodating. Waterfall/rapids right off the porch and one morning we saw a bald eagle cruising along the river right from the deck.The space works well for a couple or can work for large families too. We'll be coming back for sure!"

"We loved this property. We got in after dark and to see the fog lift in the morning to reveal the beautiful mountains was the perfect spot for morning coffee. This cottage was a perfect respite after a day full of tromping around the north woods."

"This property was perfect for our group for our foliage 2027 trip. We spent our days exploring surrounding towns and farmers markets. We visited crystal clear Christine Lake and did several nature hikes. Beautiful area"
