"Ultimate luxury in a beautiful setting. Local food, well cooked and some excellent cultural experiences to have on the property. One thing needed to make it better…a gym that befits the luxury of the hotel. The gym is awfully tiny and with such little equipment and no mats. Not great but all else is incredible."

"The Ivy Lake is a rare find in Sri Lanka, being modern & so well maintained as it only four rooms. The brother & sister who manage the property are in touch with technology making them very helpful for what's going on in Anuradhapura & helping with things to do in the area. The garden is so beautiful making the property feel tropical & peaceful in a very busy city. The Ivy Lake is very central to the Old Town, the lake, bus station & the train station, perfect to be walkable to everything. The room is very convenient with a rare refrigerator, great shower & comfy bed, everything a traveller needs. There is a superb coffee shop that the youngsters have with all meals available. Well done Ivy Lake, we highly recommend you to all visitors to Anuradhapura."

Would 100% recommend for all, the staff helped us with safari organisation, providing dinner as well as breakfast. The manager and staff were very courteous and helpful and the manager was able to arrange a Safari at late notice and a tuktuk guide for the ancient city. The Safari guide Zion was excellent as was his driver. The tuktukguide Kumar was also very good."
