"Although we really enjoyed the views from the balcony and the exterior, the large rooms and kitchen. We would love to see this place have a remodel/refresh as it was not in the cleanest state on arrival. The staff would come each day to clean and fold sheets which was a nice touch! "This hotel is in a perfect location directly on the sea shore. That is only good thing I can say. We arrived at 14.30 and had to wait 15 minutes for someone to arrive on reception to be told the room was not ready and to go away for an hour. When we returned we were showed our room on the ground floor which we booked as a family room with a sea view and it looked at the carpark. "Good points: - the location was great, short walk from the port and right on the front - steps away from the bus station - short walk into the centre of town - the receptionist was a mine of information - the room was clean and comfy Bad points: - the marble coating on our sink was flaking off which wasn’t ideal - the shower in our friend’s room wasn’t great However, given the price we paid, I thought it was good value for money!"

"Mixed stay great setting, but not the right fit for us Overall we had a pleasant enough experience, but it ultimately didn’t fully match what we were looking for. The resort itself is in a beautiful location right on the water, with a nice private beach and plenty of sunbeds and seating options. The beach area was definitely a bonus. with views across to Hydra. The room was fine standard but entry door not much soundproofing. That said, the overall atmosphere felt very much geared towards families with young children. It was quite a busy resort, especially towards our final night when a large number of guests arrived, and at times it felt crowded and lively in a way that didn’t suit the kind of quiet couples escape we had in mind. The buffet was fine but nothing particularly memorable good enough for convenience, but not a standout aspect of the stay. While the hotel itself is well maintained and the staff were generally pleasant and professional, we personally didn’t feel it was the best match for us as a gay couple. At times we felt a little uncomfortable due to the general guest environment, not because of the hotel staff, but simply the mix and atmosphere of the resort. In fairness, we did spend a lot of our time exploring other nearby areas, which we really enjoyed, but that also highlighted that the resort itself wasn’t quite aligned with our travel style. Overall, a nice property in a beautiful setting, but more of a family focused resort."

"We had a deluxe room and it was excellent. The bathroom was very well appointed and the room spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the pool, with a sea view. The breakfast was also very good and conveniently available until 11a.m. The beach was stony but it was lovely to be able to relax on the hotel sun-loungers and enjoy the view. We did not eat dinner in the hotel but there were plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance."

Poseidonion Grand Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This is a beautiful old style Grand hotel which has been beautifully renovated. Breakfast on the large terrace overlooking the ferry port was very good. The staff were very helpful and were able to let us check in early. The concierge was able to talk us through restaurants and beaches for our short stay. We went to the beach club owned by the hotel on the other side of Spetses town which was great."
