This unique home was just what we needed to host our large family! The beauty of this home is breathtaking, from the large windows overlooking the grounds, to the huge fireplace in the living room, to the charming bed rooms! The kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen I've ever experienced. Our family enjoyed the warm glow of the massive fireplace while we gathered in the living room for great conversation and story telling!Rita was a great host. She was very pleasant and friendly! She made sure we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and extremely spacious.I would highly recommend this estate for an experience you will not forget. You will want to book another stay... trust me!Deb and Don Fapore and family.
This property did not disappoint. The owners attention to detail is obvious. The property was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well supplied. The outside space was enjoyed by all of us especially the fire pit.We would see doe and buck emerging from the tree line, nightly. Today we saw a coyote and our sons saw bear scat near the fishing hole, today. Also, there is a grocery store nearby.
What a fantastic experience! This was a great location to host extended family for our son’s wedding. There are ample bathrooms and the bedrooms are spacious. The well-stocked kitchen is a fine mix between domestic and commercial and allows for food preparation for large families. The property is beautiful, with plenty of room to walk and view wildlife. Loved the charm of the home! Host was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We would definitely stay again!
We were attending a family member's wedding, so this home was a perfect place (both location and accommodations) for our family of 9 to gather. There was lots of room to have meals together, hang out and visit, sit and read, and private space if you wanted to be alone. House was very clean, and very comfortable. There were a couple minor things that needed attention, but the host was very responsive to these.
Plenty of space for large group and family to have fun. Took a while to figure out the rooms and the way inside the house. Game room in basement was good.
It was a bit cold in basement, winter it may be too cold down there. Basement has fire place to heat it up though.
State of kitchen, grill and appliances were bad. Not clean at all, some of them were not working and sometimes suddenly the appliances stop working .
3-4 rating out of 5. Improvement needed are for cleanliness and appliance availability.
Finally we were the first guest group to house. Lot of good things to say about pavilion and other facilities and only thing to improve in the appliances and cleanliness in kitchen equipments!
The estate was breathtaking! We got so many picture’s taken on property and I cannot wait to see them! The house had everything from glasses for mimosas (as we were getting ready for our wedding day) to emergency sanitary products. The beds were super comfortable and we had more than enough room for everyone that stayed with us! We had some children with us as well and my son still asks us if we can go back to the “big house” to play. It was really lovely having a designated area for kids to rest and play during our stay.Being on property for our big day was so essential for how smoothly our wedding day went! We were able to store our food and drink in the kitchen the night prior and move everything to the pavilion the next day, this saved us so much time and reduced our stress significantly! The owners are also extremely nice and had everything ready to go for us! We are so happy we had the opportunity to stay at the estate and have our wedding day there as well - The Fauvers This past Saturday we had my son's wedding at the Rich Valley Estates in Emporium PA. The owners of this beautiful location were accommodating, helpful, and super respectful of our needs for this special day. The venue was breathtaking! We were surrounded by trees and a babbling brook. Because the venue was so out of the way we thought we would have to bring generators to have music and light. To our surprise, there were dozens of outlets to use. I can't thank you enough for how amazing this locatio
We Loved This Historic Home With Modern Upgrades On 338 Acres, Private Trails, and Watering Hole!
The Rich Valley Estate is a huge beautiful home on 338 acres. As an avid hiker this was perfect to be able to have peace and serenity for a long weekend away. I was able to enjoy the private trails, stream, and forest all to myself!
I can really see the potential of this place. With such a large home it can fit your whole family and then some, just yourself, or a couple wanting to get away. It has an upscale feel with old world charm and custom woodwork and details that you won't find elsewhere. There's even a huge pavilion with outdoor stove if you wanted to have a gathering. I could see someone having their engagement or even wedding here. For just myself and a few friends it was more than perfect!
I recommend making a picnic meal and enjoying it at the table by the private stream. It's so peaceful. I even saw deer in the field and lots of birds in the forest as I walked.
From its deep rooted history, the charm of the old mixed with all of the upgrades you would expect from newly built rentals, this is a rare find. The home has all modern appliances with a full Chef's Kitchen to just the everyday things like fast internet, cable and a big screen TV even though you're in a remote location. Peace and quiet in the woods, but all the conveniences of modern life. When you mix that with the fact that there's a trail right to your own private stream with natural rock formations and watering hole for swimming, its a winner!
What an amazing place!!! We stayed here for a hunting trip. It accommodated all of perfectly! It was clean and very functional. We are so grateful for the communication with Rita, the host. She was phenomenal and VERY accommodating. If we could give 100 stars, we would! Absolutely recommend!!!
We had the most amazing stay at this property and can't recommend it highly enough...Our Hosts were wonderful...Friendly, Responsive, and clearly take great pride in providing a top notch experience. If your considering Booking...Why Wait...Just Do It!!!
I had a group of 17 stay at this home. There was plenty of room for everyone. The instructions for everything were included. The views were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances. This made cooking for 17 people a breeze. The outdoor grill was also very useful. The host was available via messaging during the stay but was not intrusive which we loved. The home is older and the furnishings are appropriate to the time period. That being said the wifi and tvs were all in working order.
15 members of our family stayed at Rich Valley Estate from August 9-15 2025.Check in couldn't have been easier. What a fabulous home, plenty of room(s) to sleep, gather or separate yourself to read, take a nap, watch TV or get some work in. The property is beautiful, we explored it on foot and with 4 wheelers. The swimming hole is a beautiful spot, but our kids preferred a pool which we discovered at Sizerville State Park - just a few minutes away. At night we had fires in the fire pit, showed movies on the deck with our projector and screen, explored Emporium, Ridgway and Benezette (where we did see some elk). We found the coolest ice cream shoppe with the BEST ice cream (In St Mary's). The house was well stocked with everything we needed, a few things we didn't need and a few things we didn't know we needed. All instructions were clear and spelled out in a binder left at the house along with the history of the house - so interesting. All in all a great house, well stocked, beautifully decorated. Now if I can just say a word or two about Rita. My husband and I have been renting houses through VRBO for many years. We have never had a host who was as friendly, patient, helpful and accommodating as Rita. She even recommended the best places to use our 4-wheelers and a nearby county fair taking place the week we were there so we checked that out. She was always quick to respond to any question no matter how trivial. Thank you Rita for a wonderful week.
