Welcome to Kate's Cottage! Our newly renovated cottage at Emerald Isle. The home boasts brand new decks, doors, windows and precious pink siding!

Located in the quiet heart of the Crystal Coast, you won't have to compete for the perfect beach spot. This home is outfitted with EVERYTHING you will need to relax! It has a fully stocked kitchen with appliances like an ice cream maker and Kitchenaid mixer, enough plates to serve the army and 2 sets of cookware - one nonstick and one stainless. In the storage room you will find beach chairs, kayaks, ice maker and Yeti coolers. High speed WiFi included for streaming your favorite shows or setting up the "out of office" you forgot to post before you left.

We know you will love your time at our Emerald Isle home.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Wash used beach towels and return them to their location (in bag by door). If used, please return the cover to the fire pit and grill.
Please rinse and put away any beach chairs, coolers, and umbrellas you used during your stay.
In the Spring and Summer, please set the thermostat to 76 degrees on the “Cool” setting. In the Fall and Winter, set the thermostat to 63 on the “Heat” setting.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

Renter must be onsite for the duration of stay. No parents booking for "beach week" high school/college students.
Names of all guests are required at booking. No tape on the walls.
No smoking or illegal drugs on the property at all. Quiet hours are 10PM-8AM. Guests staying 30+ days will require a light cleaning every 14 days.

Kate’s Cottage was a lovely space

The house was clean, the linens were very nice, and the beds were impressively comfortable for a VRBO. The location is bayside on the main road, so any outdoor activity has traffic noise to contend with but inside was quiet. Easy beach access and not too crowded. Bayside has a boat launch on same block. I think we may have been the first guests since the property changed hands so there were some minor issues which were dealt with promptly and are unlikely to affect future guests. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked with every appliance imaginable. The only drawback was the exterior wooden deck was old with lots of splintered wood and jutting nails so I would avoid bare feet. Thanks to the new owners for a really lovely stay.
