Property is conveniently located at the Center of Ely, Nevada. Owners are not in the property but they are very responsive and check in is easily done over the phone. Will stay again at this property in the future!

I stayed in a basic economy room and it was excellent value. Nice and clean, really comfortable bed and the shower was very powerful. Would definitely stay here again.

The room and property were decent for the price. I truly appreciate the quick response and customer service from the property owner. The motel is near a few abandoned homes and businesses, which can make one feel a little uneasy. The parking lot, though nicely marked, was scattered with animal waste, mostly due to irresponsible pet owners. We made sure to wipe our dog’s paws before they reentered our room. I know the property is still under the reconditioning process, but we’d consider returning to this motel. There are plenty of restaurants located downtown and a convenient Mexican restaurant across the street. Also, there is Shell gas station around the corner. Overall a 4/5!

I chose by lowest price, was pleasantly surprised to find room very clean and comfortable. Right on main road so a little noisy but got a good nights sleep.

Old but clean and comfortable

The hotel was old (as is almost everything else in Ely) but the hotel was clean, check in was easy, and the showers were hot! The beds were comfortable, although a little hard, but overall a decent place, especially for the price. We would definitely stay here again.

Couple satisfied staying in Grand Central Motel .

We stayed @ Grand Central for 2 nights it’s a clean room no smells or bugs & quiet place with a friendly neighborhood . My husband Robert enjoyed staying specially me the wife 😇 I love to watch outside peacefull with a beautiful view beautiful small town so relaxing . We don’t mind to recommend this Motel to our friends .

Cheap and quirky small town motel, you get what you pay for (in a good way). I crashed here for a night on a road trip. Quiet spot, contactless check in, payment, check out etc. means you don't even have to speak to another human during your stay (unless you want to, of course), which was new to me but a pleasant experience. Would def stay here again if I'm ever back on Hwy 50.

The owner was nice and responded quickly. Clean room. Every room had roku so you can binge watch on Netflix and also had a microwave and fridge which i liked! Definitely recommend!

The room & bed were very comfortable. Good mattress & remodeled room. The shower was nice too. I also loved that I had access to Disney + included. So cool. Very happy with this place & great deal too!

Love the price for a convenient and quick stop-over. Easy to find. Room access was easy. No need to check-in. Bed was clean, room was overall clean but that carpet ... yikes!! Pets are allowed, however there is no place for dogs to go potty. I had to wander the sketchy neighborhood to find a suitable place.

Great Stay

My wife booked this for me for a two night stay on my way home from Quartzite. She likes to book quirky little place, and this was for sure that. Super easy check, clean, walking distance to everything, and I really liked that there was parking big enough for my truck and cargo trailer. This is an older motel, so of course it has it's little foibles, but I really like that it's not cookie cutter.

Peaceful and Quaint

We chose The Grand Central Hotel understanding it was under new management, operated by a young family. It is a charming hotel, not new, but cute and peaceful. One of the managers, Ian, was quick to answer my questions and extremely helpful prior to our arrival. It's a smaller size room we rented, one bed, it was very comfortable. It's a pet friendly hotel, no extra charge, perfect for our 17lb dog. It's not a fancy hotel, but you can tell the owners take pride in the upgrades they've made with more to come. Check in was super easy. The Mexican restaurant, Rivas, is located directly across the street and was very good. They had outside tables, so you can take your pet. We will be sure to stay at The Grand Central Hotel next we come to Ely. It was great for an overnight getaway from St George, Utah.

Good night's sleep

Room was just right for our needs. Centrally located in Ely with plenty of places to eat (Hometown Pizza makes a mighty mean pie), casinos, and shopping nearby. Although we required little room service other than clean towels the third day, it was always available should we have wanted it. Motel is being further renovated. Highly recommend.
