Excellent Stay and Wonderful Time

We have stayed in numerous VRBO rentals around Ely and in Northern Minnesota and all were excelent but this is the one we enjoyed the most. The house is great in all ways and the deck, yard, and firepit were perfect for us as was the location near the BWCA. Hosts were great to work with and we intend to visit again.

Fishing opener

This is a beautiful, well-maintained home that far exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal for accessing the BWCA and Fall Lake fishing spots. We were very pleased with the layout of the home. The screen porch and expansive deck were favorite spaces.

Best lake experience ever

This is an absolutely wonderful house, with spectacular views and amenities. Dock and beach area are very nice, fire pit area was perfect and the overall feeling of the property is serene and beautiful. Best lake house we’ve ever rented.

A wonderful 50th Anniversary vacation

The lake house was perfect in every way for doing what we love to do, which is spending time with family and enjoying nature. The set up was great for playing games, bird watching, dining in multiple areas.The views of the lake were amazing! Having our own deck was great for canoeing and fishing. We've stayed at many places and this was by far our favorite.

Peaceful Retreat

All aspects of the cabin were clean and in excellent repair. Our whole family was able to relax and enjoy the solitude and each other's company. The sand beach was sufficient for the young ones.

Wonderful time at the cabin!

Such a lovely property! We have been fortunate enough to be able to stay in this property multiple times. The cleanliness, beauty of the location, access to the water and the boundary waters, are all second only to the hospitality of the owners who are absolutely delightful. 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful and inviting vacation home

Nestled in the woods on Fall Lake, our vacation home was beautiful and so homey. It met all of our needs-local boat rental, we could use the dock for the week. We loved the area for nightly campfires and star gazing. The little bench area our furballs and kids and grandkids loved making sandcastles and relaxing. It’s the perfect location and we will be sure to rent again in years to come. It’s close enough to town and far enough for privacy. We loved it

Perfect House and location

Kial’s house is on the north side of Fall Lake. You can’t help downloading because of this location along with the home decorations and lake front beauty. Kial has thought of everything you need and the House is very organized. We will be back!

Friends gather to paddle and hike

A spacious, comfortable, sparkling clean home on a great lot on beautiful Fall Lake, less than an hour's paddle to BWCA. The location allowed us to paddle every morning and hike in the afternoons. Plenty of games for the evening hours - and a great kitchen in which to prepare meals.

We will always stay here when visiting Ely! This home is well maintained, right on lake and never fails to amaze me at the beauty of it all. The owners respond to any questions promptly and everything is as advertised. Kitchen is well stocked with all you would need to cook. I just love this place.

Hygge on the Boundary

The cabin was so comfortable that we knew we would enjoy our visit the moment we opened the door. The property on the boundary of the Boundary Waters was great and had everything we needed to make a wonderful wintertime visit with family. With our binoculars and the binoculars on the porch windowsill, 2 of us at a time could view the wolf running across the snowcovered lake. Our hosts were so welcoming which made our journey special. Beautiful home

This home is absolutely beautiful! Everything you need for a week stay is there for you and I love how the kitchen cabinets had labels so you knew right where to put things back. The owners have thought of every detail for your comfort and I even received a text the day we checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory. Our dog had fun swimming in the lake and we all enjoyed sitting on the deck. I would highly recommend this home for your Ely stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Perfect place to recharge.

Beautiful quiet lake home. We enjoyed time exploring outside. The temps were mild and the fall leaves were gorgeous. The home was large and comfortable allowing our family the space to stretch out and settle in. We did not even use the television because when we were together, we were eating, visiting and enjoying the large deck overlooking the lake. Just the perfect place to recharge for the work week ahead. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful home.

In hopes to see the comet

Great location for a fall family get-together. We had mild temperatures allowing us time to explore the outdoors. Clear night skies to look for the comet and northern lights. The home is so large and comfortable. Open floor plan with a beautiful, windowed room overlooking the lake. Large kitchen with all the supplies we needed. Bedrooms with comfortable beds and linens. Large bathrooms with a tub and/or shower. Homeowners always approachable and great with their communication. We did not get to see the comet yet enjoyed quality family time just the same. Perfect Family Retreat

This was our third getaway to the Boundaries Lake House, and once again, we were thrilled with this amazing property. Our family, ages 9 months - 70 years, enjoys our annual reunion in its spacious gathering spaces, yet still finds enough privacy and seclusion to be in multiple rooms to read, play, enjoy quiet time alone or in small groups. An added bonus is its accessibility for our family member with mobility challenges — absolutely everything he needs can be found on the main floor, which is fully accessible in his wheelchair from the driveway, as well as to the large and beautiful deck overlooking Fall Lake. The home is well-appointed, with all the amenities we could need or want. And our hosts are absolutely amazing — available, attentive and accommodating. We could not have asked for more, and recommend this property without hesitation — you will not be disappointed!

Our perfect family retreat

The Boundaries Lake Home is the only place we have ever stayed in Ely, and this was our fourth visit. No need to look any further! This home has everything to accommodate us (one of whom is wheelchair-bound), our adult children, and our grandchildren. The home is beautiful, and has absolutely everything we need to gather for quality family time. The space is generous for a large family meal and game night, with plenty of smaller spaces to curl up with a book away from the crowd. The deck is large and offers a beautiful view of the property and Fall Lake. Kial and Dave are amazing hosts, and Kial checks in to make sure we have everything we need, and is always available if we have a question. This is definitely a 5-star property with 5-star hosts, and we enthusiastically recommend it to anyone traveling to Ely and the Boundary Waters. We are grateful for our time with our family in this beautiful home!

Very happy with our stay! Perfect back deck view of the peaceful, quiet lake. Well stocked & organized kitchen. Kids loved swimming in the lake and canoeing. Saw loons, eagles & a black bear near the property. Close to town & tourist attractions, yet far enough away to feel like a remote getaway. Had a great week!
