Escape to Acadia’s Winter Magic – Cozy Firepit, Snowy Trails & Coastal Charm

Important note: Both bathrooms are located on the first floor. Second floor (King) bedroom does not have an en suite bathroom. Please read room descriptions below and see floor plan layout.

Adventure awaits! Fresh, clean and spacious vacation living. Enjoy the Maine Ocean and Woods, at the Cove Cottages Property. We are close to Acadia National Park, Bangor International Airport, Ellsworth, Winter Harbor, and Mount Desert Island. Our accommodations are perfect for 2-3 couples, small groups of adventurers and business travelers. We are excited to offer The Carriage House for the 2026 season!

The Space.
The house was designed with adventure seeking travelers in mind. On the first floor guests have access to two queen bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A new second floor bedroom with a king size bed is a welcome expansion to accommodate larger groups. Our oversized family room is a perfect space to relax, read, watch some television on a big screen, or play a board game with the family! The full kitchen, with many upgraded amenities, stone countertops, gas range, and dishwasher, gives you the perfect space to cook or visit some of our favorite restaurants less than 15 minutes away. A large well-lit deck gives you a tranquil spot to sip your morning coffee and hopefully catch a peek at some woodland visitors. Our washer and dryer are neatly tucked away in the entryway and are essential for washing up after your many outdoor adventures.


Area Adventures.
Are you a swimmer? Great! You'll find that the Lamoine Public Beach and State Park are only 4 miles away and offer expansive beach, for swimming, sea glass combing, or kayaking! More of a Lake swimmer? No problem, there are several ponds and lakes situated about 18 miles away to the Hulls Cove Visitor Entrance at Acadia National Park, or check out one of our local favorites, Donnell Pond, for a quiet sandy lake swim and convenient mountain hiking. Need a quick morning walk. The Frenchmen Bay Conservatory's Simon Trail is situated right across the road and offers a 1 mile loop with an abundance of ferns and mushrooms to view.

Great Acadia stay

The house is very clean and in a great location to see all of Acadia. The upstairs is a wonderful open space- would be even better with a bathroom up there :) Communication with hosts was fast and easy. Great house for families to experience Acadia!

This property was everything that we needed as a family. Beautiful location and easily accessible. Perfectly located to make day trips to either side of the Acadia National Park. Yet within 7 to 10 minutes from anything in town if you needed something there. The upstairs family room was incredible for family time. We absolutely loved this place.

Awesome trip!

We loved our stay here at Lamoine property. It was very clean, had organized cabinets. They even supplied with extra towels and dishwasher and washer supplies. My kids loved hanging out in the media room after a long day of hiking. Highly recommend surrounding local restaurants.

We survived Hurricane Lee in this beautifully appointed cottage!! The generator kicked in automatically when the power went out and we continued our card game without a care in the world!! Very clean, comfortable and close to Ellsworth with lots of dining options!! Perfect for our 2 couple group!!

The property was beautiful and clean. it was very comfortable. The location was great- a short drive to Acadia or Bar Harbor. Paige and Kate were in touch prior to our arrival and were very responsive to the small issue we had at check-in. If we return to Maine, we would definitely stay here again.

Charming Little Gem

We had a great time staying at the cottage during our trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The location is perfect for exploring the park and other sweet towns around the area. Everything you need to cook or grill for those evenings you just want to relax. Paige was extremely accommodating and a wonderful host.

Vacationland

This cozy cottage was perfect for me and my family (2 adults + 4 children). We explored Acadia National Park for three days and had a blast. Finding parking in Bar Harbor is a challenge, so spending our nights in Lamoine provided us a quiet retreat where we could cook and relax. If we come back to Maine I’d definitely try to book this house again. If they can add a half bath upstairs this house would be unbeatable.

Perfect house, Perfect location for Acadia visit

We were initially hesitant to book a VRBO that was off MDI for our vacation to Acadia NP in August. Boy, we were we wrong! This property has a PERFECT location, especially during the summer when tourists take over the park. You are close enough (30 minutes or less depending on traffic) to the park but far enough away to escape the madness that is Bar Harbor. Likewise, you are close to Ellsworth, which has great restaurants with no waits. And the property? Gorgeous. It is probably the first VRBO we ever stayed at that looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Clean, modern, perfect for families. I am a self-avowed VRBO snob and I absolutely loved this place. Yeah, a half bath upstairs would be nice but it's really a small quibble. Paige and Katie are super accessible and really have all your travel bases covered. Brava!
