Great cooks kitchen, fully stocked w/ open concept living space, Sonos in kitchen! BBQ gas grill & awesome fire pit, expansive deck w/ dining space & lounge chairs **20 acres of privacy** Open Door Lodging's Newest Family Escape! - we love dogs! so if your bringing them please say so! its only $50.00 extra per stay for your furry family to join!!!! Access to 20 acres! We will start July 4 2021 with a New Vacation Rental! Ellison Bay country side! Newport State Park, Mink River, Europe Lake, Bayside and Lakeside within minutes of your front door! We have all new Retrospect Bikes, SUPS, Kayaks, and canoes! We are about 2 miles from downtown Ellison Bay and about 5 miles from Sister Bay! We will start July 4 2021 with a New Vacation Rental! Perfect Door County Vacation Location

Location of house was secluded in the northern end of Door County (WI). Quiet location (except for cherry picking vehicles at dusk) that provides expansive room for a family or large group of friends. Halfway between Green Bay or Lake Michigan - but just a few miles to either shore or beach. Spent time both in Sister Bay and Baileys Harbor as well as Newport State Park. The number of rooms and bathrooms were fantastic! Everyone in my family (ages from 5 to 70) enjoyed our stay. Exceptional amenities like fire pits and hot tub. The only quibbles we had were the lack of safety stickers on shower floors (definitely slippery) and needing a curtain on expansive door/windows by dining room (really bright sunshine at dinnertime).

A Lovely Space

Proceed with caution

I booked this spot over a year in advance of my trip to Door County. I spent months planning the trip and things to do in Door County and was really excited because Tim's place looks great. I reached out to Tim multiple times prior to my trip to see if I could check-in a few hours earlier on my arrival date. I did not receive a response which started to worry me a bit. My worry was justified when 3 weeks prior to my arrival date, Tim let me know he accidentally double booked his place. With such short notice, I was not able to find another place to accommodate my group of 14 people (some were flying in) and had the cancel the trip. I was also out $$$ from non-refundable deposits I made in Door County. While I understand mistakes happen, it was extremely disappointing to be notified 3 weeks prior to my trip that I no longer had a place to stay. While Tim initially said he would pay me something for his error and my troubles, I have received nothing. If you have options, go with the other option.

4 generation day trip!!

Beautiful home and the 13 of us loved it!! Ping pong, bike riding, fireplace, and a bathroom in every bedroom was a huge hit!! Will definitely book again in the future and stay longer to enjoy the kayaks

Perfect Vacation Home for a group!

We were a group of 4 families with kids ranging from 5-16. We absolutely loved our 4 night stay! The kitchen was fully stocked (loved all the coffee making options and spices), the board games were a great touch, and we utilized all of the outdoor spaces every day. The ping pong table was so fun for our kids, as was the table and chairs in the garage - perfect for a kid hangout. We loved the two firepits and the seclusion from other houses made it very relaxing. The outdoor toys were amazing - bikes, inflatable paddle boards, kayaks and the canoe - and we used all of them. The owner, Tim, was also very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We loved the fact that we all had beautiful bedrooms and baths for such a big group. The location is also convenient to Sister Bay and the grocery store, which made cooking meals easy. We would definitely all stay here again - thanks for such a great vacation home!
