Relaxing Weekend

Our family of six had a wonderful time at Rippling Waters cabin, despite the stormy weather. The hosts have done an exceptional job of providing a variety of activities to enjoy inside the cabin. Our family especially enjoyed the hot tub. It was the relaxing weekend we needed.

Great long weekend getaway

Fun family cabin for a quick trip to the mountains! Cabin is comfortable, the numerous games and hot tub were loved by the kids, beautiful location with deer walking through the backyard.As described, some furniture is older and pet friendly. The hike down to the river and back up is no joke, I measured 0.1 mile! All in all, great relaxing getaway!

We had a great couple of days at Rippling Waters over Spring Break. There was plenty to do for our three teens (two 16, one 17) and the house was a perfect size for our needs.

Loved this cabin and will rent it again and again. So nice and cozy. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything!! Loved the river in the back… such a nice spot!! Loved seeing deers all over!! I am hoping to rent it again soon

Relaxing and serene location

A group of 10 family members including children and adults stayed at the house. The games at the house were fun and we also spent time at the pool. There are things to do in the community and locally. We enjoyed the stay and would go back if we stay in that area again.

We enjoyed our stay. We spent most our days out site seeing. But in the evenings we enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, darts, and air hockey. We loved that it was dog friendly! The porches where fantastic. A great place to enjoy a hot coffee, cocoa, or tea in the mornings was my favorite. it gives a cozy, lived in vibe. ❤

Quiet Cabin & Whispering Waters

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cabin! The cabin itself was comfortable and well stocked, and when outside on the decks you could hear the soft sounds of the creek below. The creek was a bit too shallow for us to fish in, but if we had fly-fishing gear we might have done a bit better. Just be ready for the trek down to the creek - it can be challenging! We were surprised by the number of houses/cabin around us, but we never heard anyone (save an occasional circular saw the first day). Staying at "Rippling Waters" was a very restful vacation - just what we wanted!

A wonderful stay in the beautiful Georgia Mountains

Rippling waters was the perfect getaway for our family this summer. The accomodations were exactly as stated and provided many hours of family fun! We inadvertently took the reference notebooks belonging to the cabin, and the owners were easy to work with to get them returned! The only negative was that the cleaning staff was still at the cabin (for quite a while) when we arrived (on time), and it kinda took away from that first hour, getting to explore the place excitement one expects on vacation.

This is a beautiful home and property. There are ao many things to do for all ages. We expected a larger group to go which included children ages 10 and 8, however they couldnt make it, but there were plenty of things to keep them occupied if they did come. Perfect place for peace and quiet! I was able to get lots of school work caught up! Would definitley go back again!

Summer Mountain Getaway

The property was very clean on the inside. We had an easy time finding the house with our GPS using the house address. The view was beautiful. Getting to the river was a steep hike and the river was low, so we didn’t get down there much. We were able to use the amenities of the resort with no problem. The places recommended to hike, and the tube were perfect. We forgot our dog food bowls and the housekeeper and owner could mail them back home for us. The house was perfect for our needs.

Clarke Family vacation 2023

This house is perfect for a family with kids of all ages. The sunroom off of the living room was a great place to set up a play area for our 3 toddlers. They had their own space within view of the living room and kitchen. The river is nice to look at with views from every deck but not accessible for the little kids. We enjoyed the parks and pool. All the amenities are within the neighborhood within a short drive. The binder was so helpful with directions to anything we needed. Our family took advantage of the Blue Ridge Railway trip to Mccaysville. They loved it!

Not a clean Cabin.

The cabin was dirty. There was dirt in the cabinets as well as the drawers. The porch furniture is so old and the seats were so dirty we could not sit in them. There was an animal carcass on the deck that we removed. There was trash under the porch that looked attrocious from the deck with the view of it. There was raw sewage a few feet from the deck. Furniture was duct taped together. Overall, this cabin needs some love and attention. The stay was pleasant. I wish we had a guide to use when I set the thermostat. Loved all the games. The river view was great. Popcorn machine was filthy. The downstairs bedrooms were in a basement and my family complained of being in the basement. We did not realized that was the situation until we got there. We needed 4 beds so there was not another option for those two folks. I wondered if the owners had been there lately ? I saw another review about the condition of the furniture. The owners need to take a look at their cabin.

Beautiful area

We loved our stay in Ellijay. The river and the deer and the surroundings were amazing. The house was beautiful, but it was a little run down. The furnishings were old. Some were falling apart and held together with duct tape. Microwave light was burnt out so no light over the stove. Huge dustballs came flying out from under the sofa and love when we turned on the fan. The large back deck where the hottub is, was a mess. I think it's time for just a little TLC and it could be amazing once again. There was some problem with the septic system as it stunk really bad on the front porch, which is adjacent to the drainfield. I let owners know about it before we left. The firepit was a disappointment, not at all like pictured. I notice the picture now has been changed to show what it looks like now. Owners told us there was new furniture for around the firepit on order, but we missed out on that. All being said, we still had an amazing time enjoying the surroundings with our family and dogs, and owners seemed attentive to us when I spoke with them. The sound of the river was my favorite. Just wish it had been a bit cleaner and updated.

Family friendly

Lots to like about this cabin! Our young adults enjoyed tubing in the river and playing the games and board games. We enjoyed the fire pit. The kitchen is well stocked. The directions were very easy to follow to find the cabin in the dark and the host communication was timely and helpful. The cabin was clean and the shower water pressure was very good!! Although we didn't need it, I noticed a top latch (child safety) on the door from the main level to the basement staircase and a gate was provided in one of the closets for the upper level staircase. The gas grill is located on the basement level deck and requires that the cook take a set of stairs from the kitchen. The furniture is not in the best of shape (handles missing from dressers, top board missing from one of the basement dressers, one of the couches not enough support) (living room furniture does not match photo exactly). Beds were comfortable. The bedroom in the basement with the attached bath does not have a door that closes. It has a sliding door which does not seal out light and noise and also has a 3" diameter hole (maybe a previous door knob) which doesn't give complete privacy. Maybe OK for youngsters. There was one towel and wash cloth per person. There were no kitchen towels/dish cloths (a sponge scrubber and dish soap provided). Lots of deer in the neighborhood. Our family of 7 (ages 17 to 65) enjoyed our stay in July!
