Private lot on large lake in northern Adirondacks

Beautiful recent home on Chazy lake in the northern part of the Adirondacks. Home is on a very private mini peninsula with 300 feet of waterfront.
Nearby attractions: only 5 minute drive to trail head of majestic Lyon mountain (3840'). This is a popular hiking destination with a system of 2 trails making the climb doable in a loop configuration. At the top have views towards Plattsburgh, lake Champlain, Montreal and the High Peaks. Climb the century old fire tower. You are also only a 20 minute drive to great shopping deals and restaurants in Plattsburgh. 45 minutes can take you to lake placid and the high peaks region, or to the spectacular Ausable Chasm. Only 1h15 from Montreal. Only 45 minutes from the greatest vertical in the east at Whiteface. Closer to home the New Land Trust is a 10 minute drive away. A small network of trails great for short hikes or snowshoing and cross crouuntry skiing in the winter.

The house: this is a recent construction with modern materials. Open plan with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped (gas range, microwave dishwasher, stainless steel appliances). Main bathroom has a tiled walk-in shower. Master bedroom has beautiful views and a king sized bed (Sealy Eurotop mattress). Second bedroom has a queen bed and there is a third bedroom with 3 twins. We have recently added a brand new bedroom in the basement for larger parties (up to 9 gusts). In terms of entertainement there is a flat screen TV with 120 channels, Wifi, DVD. We have a slection over 200 DVDs and Blue rays to choose from.
In winter stay extra cozy by the fireplace. The is a brand new large propane BBQ.

The property: the house is steps from the waters edge. Shoreline is shallow and sandy. Outdoor fire pit for summer campfires, sit in the chairs just to soak up the view. Use the double kayak or the paddleboard to explore beautiful Chazy lake.
The lake: Chazy lake is a pristine lake (3.5 miles long) in the northern part of the Adirondacks, also known for great fishing.

We keep a security camera in the furnace area of the basement to keep an eye on the mechanics of the house and we have recently innstalled a ring type doorbell outside the front door.

Winter Wonderland

Great host with a wonderful property! We were looking for winter, and we found it here. The house is super cozy with heated floors, a fireplace, and a marvelously hot shower. We were close to snowshoeing trails, and the lake view was killer. We had enough rooms for naps and introvert time AND a great space for watching movies and playing board games together. We’ll be back!

This property is a bit of heaven

Our stay was everything and more than we had hoped. The house was clean, fully equipped, and beautiful inside and out. Very private property on Lake Chazy with a dock. Christian was a great host. He responded quickly to any questions. Loved our stay!

A peaceful weekend getaway

We stayed at this lake house for a weekend away from our daily busy lives. This home was so relaxing and had the most incredible views. We enjoyed the outdoors with fishing off the dock and the cool evenings by the fireplace. The host was very responsive and communicated with the us throughout our stay whenever we had questions. We will be back here again with our family. Truly a wonderful experience.

Beautiful property on a beautiful lake

This was our 3rd stay as usual enjoyed it. The lake is mostly quiet, although this year there were some properties clear and cutting trees, so that wasn’t quiet, however we have no control over that. We enjoyed the view of the lake as well as swimming and paddling boarding. We hope to be back again.

Magical Chazy Lake Getaway

This is our second time staying at this house and we just love it. Beautiful view of the sunrise across the lake and mountains. Very quiet and peaceful but convenient to many hiking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing trails. The owner of the property could not be nicer and is very responsive.

A little piece of ADK paradise!

This was the 6th year we have stayed at this lake house, we love it! The house is beautiful and well equipped. Chazy lake is just steps away. We kayak with our dog and interact with all the wildlife... The ducks just love us!♡ Until next year Chazy Lake!

Excellent rental

This rental was wonderful. Peaceful and relaxing. It was great not to have to bring firewood and cleaning products, as well as, sheets and towels. Beds were comfy. Plenty of room for our family.

Great fall stay by the lake

Great house with amazing views of lake! There are lots of windows and they all show beautiful fall scenery. Lots of privacy and easy to communicate with host. Second time staying here and would definitely come again. Lots of cool places to hike and cabin comes with a kayak for the lake. One of our favorite places!

Family trip

Aside from a large ladybug and fly infestation in the house, it was a fine stay. Just hard to sleep when being pelted by ladybugs all night. And as it got cold overnight, tons of dead bugs on the floor every morning. Great location on the water with views that made it worthwhile.

Chazy Lake paradise

Our stay was very close to perfect. It was our second stay at this beautiful home, so it was nice to be familiar with everything. Access to the water is lovely. There is a perfect set up to watch the sun rise over the lake. The owner responded quickly to any little hiccups we had. I would definitely recommend this home for a vacation on Chazy Lake!

Spectacular Secluded Getaway

Our family planned this trip over a year and a half ago to coincide with the total solar eclipse. This house was absolutely perfect. From the private location on a secluded peninsula on the lake to the beautiful views and dark skies that made for spectacular star gazing - we could not have asked for more. My husband and I are also avid hikers and enjoyed the snowy trek up Lyon Mountain, which is basically across the street. We will definitely be back!

Peak foliage!

Absolutely amazing property, especially so during peak foliage. Comfortably furnished, with fabulous views of the lake. Dock and Adirondack chairs outside ideal for curling up w coffee and a book, loons, geese and duck companions. Kitchen nicely appointed with all you might need to cook in, which we advise. Further advise getting groceries in Plattsburgh, as other markets on drive in were bleak. Hiking close-by. Would love to return.

Relaxation

Exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful setting. Amazing sunrise views. Small dock good for fishing. Shoreline near dock is sandy and gradual. Outdoor chairs comfortable (plus size comfy). Plenty of firewood on site. Host very responsive with questions. Kitchen has everything you need. Laundry area in basement worked perfect for us. Even had a drying rack available.

Lake place

Nice quiet place. The lake is small but quiet. A lot of nice birds including loons! The beds while soft were very comfortable. We used both the kayaks and the inflatable paddle board. Lots of fun. It was very hot while we were there so we wished the house had AC but it cooled off at night. We had all the equipment we needed in the kitchen. We found some good hikes in the area.

Beautiful stay despite the weather.

This was our first stay at this property, but not our first stay in the area. We were a little hesitant to book because our last stay at the other location was less than ideal. So glad we went ahead and booked. The house is beautiful, well decorated, clean and well equipped. There were 6 of us, my family of 4, plus my parents. We gave my parents the choice of bedrooms, they chose the ground floor (because the stairs would be difficult for my dad after back surgery). And it worked perfect, we each had our quiet space when needed, and had our own bathrooms. The view from the kitchen/dining area of the lake was stunning. Because of the weather we didn’t get to spend much time outside, but enjoyed the large dining table to play cards and games. It was a great place to make memories for our 3 generation group. We are definitely interested in staying again in the future.
