Great house in relaxing area
The house was in a quiet area and had all the amenities we could have asked for during our stay. It was convenient to town and relaxing. We would definitely stay again, it was perfect for our group - old college friend reunion.

Remodeled and very clean.
The property was comfortable, very clean with remodeled interior and furnishings and appliances new also. The environment was quiet and relaxing and within walking distance of beach. The home is located within minutes drive of other, larger lakes if desired. Groceries, pharmacies and other stores also were just minutes away.
We were 5 adult women getting away for the weekend. This was the perfect space. It was spacious, clean and open. The outdoor space was perfect! The deck, fire pit and view were great. Phil was communicative and available. We had a wonderful weekend and would stay again.

Very Nice
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your lake house this past weekend. It was the perfect location for us to get to Alpine Valley and was very well appointed inside and out. We had 10 people and with the provided air mattress it had plenty of sleeping space. Most of all we enjoyed the wonderful deck over looking the lake. Thanks, again!

Overpriced for what it is
Two large trees laying in water in front of property, not the view we were hoping for. Not indicated well water made everything orange including our hair from showering.
Not very clean, grill didn’t work was we were all very disappointed in the property. Thankfully we had a busy weekend away from the house planned!

Cute, peaceful location!
The lake is very quiet and peaceful. the kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, cookware, etc. The keypad doorlock was a breeze to use...and made it so nice with multiple guests. We never had to juggle keys! :) There is a dock...but there were beautiful Lilly pads, we did not want to disturb with swimming. We walked about one block down to the swimming beach and that was great! We only saw a handful of people while we were there. It is a very peaceful and quiet community! We took morning walks that were incredible! Each night the sunset view was amazing!!!!!!!! We used the fire pit each night and also the grill. If you want a restful vacation that feels private and secluded, then this is a great selection.

Quiet, peaceful and lovely!
We rented this house for our annual girls' weekend. Overall, everything was in good order when we arrived. The guidelines were clear and we knew what was available to us. The house sits right on Wandawega Lake and is in the perfect spot to watch beautiful sunsets. There is a dock in the backyard that you can walk out and sit on to watch the sun go down. Surrounding the dock are beautiful lilly pads and all sounds of nature. The beach is, at most, a block away and you can easily walk to it. There are fun taverns down some of the country roads, Elkhorn is 10-15 min. away if you want to do some shopping. Lake Geneva is also nearby. But we chose to stick to home and play games because it was so nice to sit on the back deck and kick back. It was hard to shut the door and leave on Sunday morning! Our only recommendation is new mattresses, because they were pretty hard. We also have some suggestions for the managers that didn't impact our opinion overall, but think they might want to know. Worth the stay!

Not what's advertised and dirty
First impressions will always stick and unfortunately that was not the only thing that did. This place looked like it wasn't cleaned it smelled like it was never cleaned. And they charge huge cleaning fee? Interior renovated but I think they forgot to clean HVAC system. Musty smell of mold. Bugs in kitchen cabinets. Stains everywhere. Fingerprints on all mirrors. Bed linens was not convinced were washed. Has a potential but not with current conditions. Also picture of lakefront not accurate. Water lilly overgrown property shoreline. Can't fish or swim of the property.
My family had a great time staying at this house! With all our summer vacation plans cancelled due to Covid, we were looking to find a relaxing vacation that would allow us to be safe/distance and still have fun. This was better than we could have hoped for! Everything about the process was easy, Phil was very responsive to communication. The house was clean and had everything we could have wanted. We ordered groceries and got take out/delivery a few times. The view of the lake was nice and relaxing. It would have been nice to be able to access the beach that's very close to the house, but the other beach was a very short (3 minutes) drive away and was wonderful. My kids loved jumping from the pier, the water is clean and shallow enough for the kids, the bottom is soft and sandy. We usually had the beach to ourselves, but a few times there were a few other people who were respectful of social distancing. Sometimes while the kids played, my husband and I took turns swimming farther out and relaxing on a floatie. It was so nice. If we went back we would have tried to bring kayaks or some sort of inflatable raft/rowboat to explore around the lake. The only (very minor) criticisms I have is that the beds were very, very hard (my husband was thrilled but I prefer a soft bed) and there could have been a few more pots and pans (a large frying pan would have been helpful). But overall, the property was perfect for a vacation. I've already recommended it to friends, and we would go back again, even without a need to socially distance!

lake
the condition of the lake was a little surprising. I understand there hasn't been adequate rain recently in the area, but when the locals state "oh, that's a swamp not a lake", was a little disappointing. Thank goodness I left my 17 foot wooden classic at home.
Nice, clean place to stay near Lake Geneva. Everything was as pictured and the host had excellent communication. It's close to Elkhorn, which we found a fun place to eat and liked the village. It was nice for a family without the business of downtown Lake Geneva.
There are many great qualities about this lake home! The area is quiet and relaxing, it is a great location! We were able to easily get to many nearby destinations. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and then eating outside overlooking the lake. The beds were comfortable, always a plus! I definitely will come back and will recommend staying here! Thank you for sharing your home!
Get place for a relaxing stay while our son played in a baseball tournament in Big Foot. The owner communicated through the whole process. Would have enjoyed a use of a washer and dryer but that did not hurt this rating. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
The house is rehabbed beautifully, very comfortable for my husband an myself, with fabulous nature views of the small quiet lake and wooded far shores , migratory birds and turtles and other wildlife. Great sunsets too. . It was just what we needed to simply relax and enjoy nature while I recovered from surgery. The fact that the house is a ranch with a huge deck also made it very easy for me to move around inside and out. Great relaxing stay, so close but seemingly so far!
This property suited us perfectly. The kitchen has all the utensils and dishes you most likely need on vacay, the grill wasn't that hot but we managed, the furniture it nice, beds were super comfortable and plenty of linens were available. The fact that there were 6 adults and one bathroom worked out great also. I highly recommend this little gem. I ran around the neighborhood the next day, plenty of hills to challenge you. We did not have a vessel to go onto the lake but next time we hope to plan better.
This is a very nice, clean house with a view of the whole of Lake Wandawega. It seems like very recently decorated. The sunsets were incredible. Everything we needed was in the house especially kitchen items. We cooked almost every meal for 4 days.
We enjoyed kayaking (brought our own) around the lake, swimming off the "club" beach (a few houses down), built an awesome fire in the backyard fire ring. Adorable log stumps circled the fire ring to sit on (quite comfy). There was a virtually unlimited supply of firewood and kindling. We went golfing at Evergreen County Club which was very charming. We went to one of the car hop burger joints in town (Annie's) We brought our own Brita filter and jug because the well water was not too tasty and then it was fine. There are the downed willow trees in the shore of the property but we thought it didnt harm the view, it was a good shelter for otters (we saw) and turtles, frogs, and fish. The lake is pretty weedy so no large boats were on the lake but there were a few fishermen out with small outboard motors. We would definitely return.
i have ovwe the years booked about a dozem vrbo bookings and this experience was on top in terms of responsiveness and general proactive hospitality which has not been my experience. The place was all that it was advertised but dont expect what is not in listing and the owner does make recommended suggestion pleaae take them as they will guide you to having a fulfilled esperience. My wife always wants the place warmer but the seetings for our trip in late December were right on as ww did not need any additional blankets. This is not a premium stay but the price and the up to date ammenties are great if you are looking for a clean, affordable and beautiful place to stay in winter but probably more gorgeous in summer to stay...book it!
My husband and I chose this place for a quick little fall getaway for us and our daughter. Overall, we had a nice stay and there’s plenty to do being so close to Lake Geneva.
(Small) Cons:
Firepit was not as pictured at all. Not sure when it was last cleaned out, looks like it’s been a while. My husband had to clean the entire thing out and cut his hands on some broken glass buried in the ashes. Actual firepit is mostly rusted away underneath. Looks great now though, for whomever uses it nextJ Also, bring your own camper chairs. There are logs you can sit on but not very comfortable and some had huge splintered wood that made them unusable.
Deck was kind of scattered with patio pillows and summer floats, toys etc that were just left there from over the summer. Not a big deal but could have been cleaned up a little more. There’s an old paddleboat just sitting in the water that could probably be tossed or stored away somewhere else.
Can’t use the fireplace inside the house, which I was unaware of at the time we booked.
Lights in the bedrooms are super dim and batteries were missing from some of the remotes.
Shades could be added in the main room so you’re not getting hit in the face by the sun every evening.
Kitchen had the basic necessities. Couldn’t find a few small items we needed for cooking but may have been in one of the locked cabinets. We worked around it. No first aid kit that we could find.
Pros:
Great view! Would have been nice if the two trees that fell in the lake were removed, but still a great view to wake up to every morning. The inside of the house was ready for our arrival and super clean.
An easy 20 minute ride from Lake Geneva. We ended up taking the long route every day to drive through the scenic roads on the way. Highly recommended if you go during the fall season.
Area is quiet and pretty. There’s a small beachy area about 2 minutes walking distance that my little girl loved. We had to take her at least once a day.
Owner was very attentive and checked in with us throughout our stay.
Overall, we had a great time! We would definitely consider going again as a summer getaway next time.
Everything was as promised and was a very easy process. The home is beautifully remodeled and the view was amazing. We had such a relaxing time. Thank you for having us!
We had a wonderful girls retreat everything was as advertised. The view was absolutely wonderful and the neighborhood was very quiet. The owner was very attentive and responsive.
We just had a wonderful long weekend at this property. It was a beautiful home with everything we needed. It was perfect for me , my husband and our two kids under 2. We did a little fishing and relaxed and explored the area and did a lot of take out. Thanks to covid, we just wanted new walls to look at and this was a much needed escape. The views were picturesque with the leaves changing and we couldn’t have been happier. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Would stay again.
