Very nice and pretty area to relax in. House is great with comfortable beds and a nice outdoor area. Most of all it’s very quiet, ideal if you are looking to get out of the city.
We enjoyed the location of the house the most. The kids could play in the snow, we could do hikes or ski. There are stores, coffee shops and a supermarket close by. We would love to go back.
House was awesome, perfect for four friends to get together, hang out, and visit nearby attractions - including catching a terrific concert at Levon Helm’s place and beautiful hike to a waterfall (whose name I can’t remember). Highly recommended!!
Our stay at this rental was just perfect. We were in the area for a family wedding, and the house was exactly what we needed. It was spacious, and served the various need of our family staying there with ample sleeping areas and plenty of space to hang out. The property and views are also gorgeous!
this house was perfect. 4 old friends getting together for a relaxing weekend and it was perfect. Communication was easy and prompt, house was spotless and everything went as smooth as possible. I'd book again for sure.
We had a great stay here while in town for a horse show for two weeks. Very clean, very comfortable, and Dennis is an extremely responsive host. This was a little further from the showgrounds than I realized and the road leading up to it (which is closed seasonally) is a little hairy to drive in a large vehicle, but that's not enough to rate this place any less than 5 stars.
We loved our stay in Ella Park. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was also stocked with every basic supply we needed (trash bags, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc.). I had a few general questions about where things were located in the house and Dennis responded immediately. My kids also loved it and kept referring to it as our “new home” (hard to explain Vrbo to a 2 and 4 year old). All in all, we’d definitely stay again the next time we’re in the Catskills!
Perfect sleeping arrangement of us 4 ladies. Host was quick to respond with little questions. Very nice and considerate family. Toiletries and kitchen were outstanding and very appreciated. We loved the outdoor firepit and enjoyed our evenings thete.
We had a lovely short stay over new years with friends at the Clover mountain house. The house itself is lovely and full of charm! Hosts were amazing; very responsive and helpful. There was a mix up with cleaning crew/ etc at check in time but all was rectified and I have no hesitation in recommending hosts or property. Great location and very magical to wake up to a dusting of snow on new years day!
We had a wonderful stay in this home. It was warm, comforting, and made our trip perfect. Beautiful decor and great location. We also loved their games and movies. Definitely recommend!
Enjoyed our summer stay very much. Great hiking right out the door. Comfortable house with a lot of space. Owner was above and beyond. Highly recommend.
Nice cabin in the woods! Well appointed and cozy with plenty of spaces to spread out both indoors and out. The hosts were great and the house is so conveniently located near hiking trails, but also close to Hunter and Tannersville, but also Woodstock. Will definitely be back next time we need a place in Elka Park!
The kitchen is spacious no crowding. We loved the single cup coffee maker (no pod required). Host was welcoming and made sure we knew they were available. Rooms were clean, beds extremely comfortable. Dining table was the perfect size for our group (could have added 2 more seats if needed). All in all a very nice home
Really cute converted schoolhouse with interesting grounds and very comfortable beds. Hunter Mountain is 12 minutes away, and we had a great time over the holiday weekend. Thank you!
We stayed at the house for a late December getaway and we had a wonderful trip! The location was great, it was a very close drive to Hunter Mountain for anyone looking to ski. The house was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed to cook as well as a large dining table and lounge space in the living room. The property itself had a great view of the mountains and there was a lot of snow during our stay. We got good communication from our host and we'd recommend it to others, we had a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. Like other reviews mentioned the beds were all so comfortable. There was plenty of space. It’s located in a beautiful, quiet, private spot near many hiking trails. We loved the cooler mountain air and summer breezes. It was very clean with natural decor. We enjoyed dining, shopping and seeing live music in Woodstock, then returning to this peaceful spot to relax. Highly recommended!
This stunning and cozy house is nestled in the mountains with beautiful views. Large space that is perfect for families or groups of friends (we came with our 2 1/2 and almost 5 year old). We appreciated the toys for children and games for adults. It's a peaceful spot with easy access to hiking, skiing and great restaurants. The hosts were super communicative as well. We will definitely be back. Thank you Erica & Dennis!
My friends and I had a great time at the house! Comfortable and clean, enough beds for everyone (ACTUAL beds!!!), and common area for us to hang out and play games! Our second night we used the fire pit outdoors and made s’mores.
Great location to get to various towns in the area- we spent some time in Windham, Tannersville, and Woodstock.
Dennis was very responsive and helpful with recommendations as well, as we’ve never been to the area.
Overall, we had a great experience!!!
Thanks so much Dennis!!
My partner and I had a wonderful weeklong stay here and enthusiastically recommend it! The location is on a quiet road within walking distance of multiple hiking trails and beautiful views of the mountains. It's a short drive to Windham, Saugerties, Hunter, Phoenicia, Woodstock, and other towns in the region. The house itself is a great mix of new and old: a 1880s schoolhouse that's been very comfortably updated and was terrific both as a base of operations for exploring the area and for relaxing with a good book (it was pretty rainy when we were up there -- lots of reading time :) The kitchen is well-outfitted and there's a great-looking grill on the deck too. Enjoy!
