Cabin was absolutely amazing. So much to do. Loved the tranquility and peace here. We spent Thanksgiving week here and would def rent again. Host was amazing, and we had no problems just wonderful memories.
We had a lovely time! The cabin is so peaceful and right on the river. The property is beautiful and the host was wonderful and responsive. Looking forward to coming back!
This property is beautiful and has everything you need. There are so many spaces you can relax or play games. We loved are visit and will definitely be back. It was exactly what we needed!
We had a lovely stay. The porch over looking the river was my favorite place to sit. If you are looking for a place to stay when you are participating in the White Lake Triathlons, it is about a 20-30 minute easy drive. We thought it was a perfect place to stay.
The place was amazing, even my teens loved it and want to come back!More importantly Dale was the absolute nicest man I have met in a long time. So sweet, responsive, friendly, helpful! Tbh meeting him made the stay even better, the world needs more kindness that he absolutely exudes,We will 100 percent book this again if they’ll have us!
We absolutely loved staying here. It was relaxing and exciting all in one. We kayaked on the river, relaxed and hung out under the cabin and on the dock, and fished. My favorite part about this rental was the outdoor shower. Overall, this was one of our favorite places that we’ve been, and we plan to come back next year.
We had a Wonderful time at Rio Verde, location is Beautiful and we loved the Bottom Decking. Safely was my biggest concern but the Dock and Walkways were secure and Perfect for Smaller Kids. We definitely will be coming Back to Visit Soon.
Great place to stay.Rocked on porch and listened to the sounds of nature. Peaceful and secluded. Beds very comfortable. Everything was provided. Unfortunately the river is polluted so no fish in river. Elderly the stairs are a challenge going up and down them. I would come back again.
This place is incredible! Unfortunately, we came at a time when the river was very high and was moving so fast ( after hurricane Helene), that the boys couldn't get any fish to bite, but we will be back to fish here. The place itself was very clean and very cozy. We had everything we needed and the hosts were very accommodating. Will be returning!
Property is very well kept up and maintained. The use of the sauna at a VRBO was great and a unique experience. Dale was helpful and friendly. Didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit cause it rained—bummed. My fav part was the wrap around porch. Lots of seating available. Couldn’t find a cutting board. Used a dinner plate instead. It was a peaceful and quiet wknd. Would definitely recommend this place!!
I personally 10 out 10 recommend this little cozy cabin! This would be me and my boyfriend 3rd time coming here and we enjoy it everytime it’s definitely peaceful great view! We are definitely making this a twice a year type of trip 😌 only complaint I have is that I wish there was a bathroom downstairs other than that this place is amazing!
This is me and my hubby’s and our two dogs new favorite spot to vacation at for 2024. It’s clean and well equipped… felt like home… it’s was a lot of space for us but much needed space and peace for us all! Next time I’d love to enjoy all the lake house has to offer including the bunk house and invite family! I’d come out here once a month over the course of the year just for the clarity of nature. My new home away from home!
i really enjoyed the quiet. took me a minute to find, but it was worth it. i cooked for mu baby sister's wedding. just having the place to myself not bumping into anybody. thanks, again

ok more likely for big family stay
the dock is smaller that it looks, and its impossible to cast with the overgrown trees. this was disappointing since fishing was my sole reason for choosing this site. it was clean and well cared for. but a fuse blew and i had no access to stove or microwave for half my trip.

RENTER BEWARE - Linens & Towels NOT Included
The property is nice, clean and in a good location. It would be quite difficult to access without a truck or 4WD vehicle if there was rain or poor weather. But the units are nice and comfortable. We discovered the hard way the listed way day in the lengthy details of the property is a coy little phrase about towels and linens available upon request with no indication of cost. Thai cost is an extra $100!! The most expensive towels I have ever purchased. Buyer beware!
From the moment we came to a hard stop wondering what path to take, we were smitten.
I've read previous reviews complaining about the final leg to the cabin, and yes it is a dirt/sand road, but what does one expect when staying right next to the river in the Carolinas?
We absolutely loved the secluded, dead end road and that was just the start of it.
We rented both the main cabin and bunk house. Both were very clean; thank you for that! I was starting to give up hope of finding well kept places after our last few stays at other locations.
Communication was prompt and helpful and the Bollingers were very accommodating to our requests.
We were sad to leave but hope to stay again.
All I can say about the few bad reviews is, read the very clear directions and there are rules for a reason; those reasons are why this location is so very will taken care of!
