Completely Renovated and Remodeled ! Are you tired of staying in a cookie cutter condo and fighting for a space on the beach? If so, look no further than Papa Roy's Paradise! Papa Roy calls his paradise the Peace & Contentment Lodge or the P&C Lodge. His mantra is 'Do nothing and rest afterwards.' Located on Spring Branch just off of Perdido Bay, Papa Roy's Paradise is a little slice of heaven. You can drink coffee in the glassed porch and watch for dolphins or relax with a cocktail on the beach and view the sunset. Inside, there are two bedrooms, a large living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious glassed/screened porch. For your outdoor pleasure, there are kayaks, paddle boards and even a slide on the dock. On the white sandy beach, there is a gazebo with a sitting area and a grill. Bring your boat and fishing gear! With a little luck, you can catch fish and crabs. In ten minutes, by boat or car, you can be at Pirate's Cove enjoying one of their cheeseburgers in paradise and drinking a world famous bushwhacker. Also, there are many other restaurants located in the area that specialize in local seafood. The sugar sand beaches of Gulf Shores and Pensacola are a short drive away. Fresh fruit and vegetable stands abound in the area! The butchers at the Elberta Grocery will cut your filet, t-bone or porterhouse to order and wrap it in wax paper. They also make and sell the finest sausage in Baldwin County.

Beautiful property!

We absolutely loved our stay! We were able to see dolphins & catch fish from the shore or dock every day. And the pavilion outside is a great way for the kids to get out of the sun or snuggle up and watch a little TV.

Marjorie and I had a fantastic stay at Papa Roys. We love that fact that it is a very quiet neighborhood. We loved sitting down by the water enjoying our favorite drinks and watching for the dolphines to swim by. We were close enought to Foley to go shopping for an afternoon with many resturants if we did't want to BBQ. We have been at Papa Roys 3 times now and plan to make many more trips down to Alabama. It is worth the 2 1/2 day drive down there.

We enjoyed our time at the rental house. It was homey & right on the water as advertised. Wish it was closer to stores, restaurants, etc but we had lots of piece & quiet and saw some crabs.

Perfect beach getaway!

Beautiful beach house in a great location! Very clean and exactly as described. The private beach and dock were the best parts! My daughter and i swam and my son and husband fished. The water was warm and calm and they caught fish after fish. There were kayaks, life jackets, floats and more. We all enjoyed our stay.

A great trip back to Papa Roy's

We went to Papa Roy's Paradise for the second time, and we look forward to returning a third time. I highly recommend staying here! It is so nice to have a private little beach and pier so close to the house, especially with an 8-month-old and 6-year-old in tow. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, seeing the dolphins, and swimming. Michele is a wonderful, helpful, and responsive host. The only issue we had was with the internet, so we were unable to watch any movies at night on the smart TV or dish on demand, but Michele said they may be getting fiber in the future (fingers crossed!!).

Peaceful

We loved the property! We saw all kinds of wildlife: conch shell walking on bottom of water, unidentified huge fish sitting at bottom of water, heron, blue jays taking a bath, and best of all a small gray dolphin 3’ from shore. It was also a full moon so we enjoyed the moon and stars from the dock. We walked daily along the road and it was peaceful and friendly neighbors!

Fantastic Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Papa Roy’s. It was the perfect beach trip minus the chaos of going to the typical beach with condos and tons of people. It was very relaxing and cozy. The private beach and pier was perfect for fishing, swimming, kayaking, sand play, and hanging out. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need and was very comfortable. Michele was a great host and very responsive. I’d recommend stocking up on groceries and bait before arriving because it’s a little bit of a drive 20-30 minutes away from stores. We had an amazing stay and definitely want to come back!!!

Private Paradise

Had a delightful stay at Papa Roy’s Paradise. This property is ideal for someone seeking rest, remote from the crowds at the beach. The house is small and comfortable for us two, nicely furnished and re-done. The private beach and pier are the best features. We saw dolphins a few times. I caught a fish ( a drum I think) from the pier that was too large to lift. It’s some distance to restaurants and stores. If you’d like to take in some local color I suggest Pirate’s Cove, only 10 minutes away.

Great Fish Camp

We really enjoyed our stay at Papa Roy’s Paradise. The property has a ton of character and history. It’s obvious that Roy and his family put a ton of work and pride into building this place. The property isn’t close to the action which can be a blessing or curse depending on what your goals are for you visit. Good grocery stores and restaurants will have you doing some driving. That said the place is incredibly quiet and relaxing. Almost no boat traffic and the fishing is excellent!! We caught a huge variety of fish including reds, spotted trout, flounder, mullet, mangrove snapper, hardhead and sail cats, lots of pin fish and even a ray. Live bait and early/late fishing are key. The only small critiques we have are the main bed is pretty uncomfortable and the exterior lighting around the house could be improved. It’s easy to miss the walkway between the two houses. If you’re looking for a beautiful property, relaxing vacation and great fishing you’ll be hard pressed to find a better property. Thanks for a great stay. Ken and Susie

The property was very kid friendly! We loved that the kids had a private beach to play at while also having the water right there to swim in when they got hot! It was the perfect get away for a week of relaxation and fun for all of us and still close enough to go shopping at the outlet stores and have some fun!!
