This is one of those places that fills a need for accommodation in between destinations. For the price it is quite good - clean and quiet - but nothing fancy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The town doesn't really have anything but it is conveniently located between Almeria and Motril.

Moon Dreams Portomagno
We only stayed for one night as a stopover but the pool facilities were a great bonus for us, particularly with the children. A stones throw from the beach, plus restaurants, it felt like a nice resort close to, but away from the mania of the Costa Del Sol.

Hotel Moon & SPA
Awesome location by the water, easy walk to the paseo and town; great service; did not take any meals at the hotel so can't comment; room was spacious and spotless - coffee and well appointed; my only beef would be with the gym - it was subpar and located right next to rooms and you're not supposed ...
