"We stayed her for 10 night with three children age 6 8 11 and what a fabulous time we had the photos don’t do it justice it’s stunning and overlook s the mountains , lovely peaceful area about 40 minutes to the beaches ,cable cars ,Selwo marine , . The owner is lovely and very welcoming the villa is spotless and as for the pool it’s just amazing the children were in it every day till late evening , I would highly recommend this villa and can’t thank the owner enough for the use of her lovely...

"Room was a bit smaller than most older style paradors especially for 3 people. Quite comfy beds and very peaceful surroundings. Staff were helpful but local area map was in German. Why no English maps? Hotel is a short walk to local amenities and the old town slightly further if you like walking ! Don’t drive. The old town is a maze. Breakfast this morning in a large light restaurant. Good choice of cereals pastries etc but not overwhelming. Pool was nice and outside areas were clean and tidy. Overall I’d give it 8/10 and would probably stay again. Stayed at the parador in Ronda last month and that was a 10/10."

"Absolutely delighted with our stay. The rooms were clean and had good storage with toiletries and plenty of plug sockets etc. The air con was great :) Oliver was amazing, super helpful with tips and reccomendations as well as greeting us each morning with a yummy breakfast. The pool and garden is so nice to relax in amongst days of exploring the local area. We had a car hire but the train stop is around the corner. So many positives. We would love to stay again, it had everything we needed and with it only being half an hour or so from Malaga airport you cant go wrong. We went to Ronda, sentenil de la bodega, the caminito del rey during our stay. There is plenty more to see and do! 😃 This place is a hidden gem"

"We stayed for 5 days in July and we were very well looked after. The staff were very warm and welcoming when we arrived. The building has been renovated to a high standard and is kept very clean and well maintained by the hard working staff. Lots of nice details such as roof terrace, espresso pod machine in the corridor on each floor, a safe and fridge in the room with alcoholic and soft drinks which were complementary (I have never experienced this in any hotel). The rooms have good air con and modern bathrooms. There is a free public car park 5 mins walk from the hotel up a steep hill. The town is lovely but very hilly so less able walkers may struggle. The highlight for us was the restaurant. We were half board and had breakfast and lunch or dinner each day. The meals of chef José were outstanding. They were healthy and beautifully presented, generous portion sizes and full of Andalusian flavours using local produce. It was one of the best dining experiences we have had in any hotel or restaurant. We were also well looked after by Emily in the restaurant who helped make it such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much Jose and Emily! Well done everyone at the Hostal Boutique Tolox Sierra de las Nieves. We highly recommend staying and/or eating there and we would be very happy to stay there again. Mike & Marga."

"We could not have asked for more from our wonderful, welcoming hosts. We have stayed in many rental homes in the last twenty years so when I say that this rates among our top stay ever, I have a solid frame of reference. We were three generations, seven adults and four children, who had so many different areas to lounge, play swim, read, and eat, it could not have been more perfect. Our host, Mari, answered every single one of my questions. I even was able to visit her local salon and get one of my best haircuts this year. So many wonderful memories were made here that I don't know how we will top it for next year. The in town restaurants were excellent! We already miss that beautiful breeze off the mountains, the morning crow and neighs of neighborhood animals, and the sunrises. We visited Malaga, Marbella, Granada, Cordoba, Frigiliana and Nerja from this location. Thank you so much for the memories!"

"If not for the train disruption, my stay at Duran Hostel would have been perfect! The small room was a perfect fit for a solo traveler. It takes 25 minutes to walk from the station to the hostel because it is uphill, and around 15 minutes to return to the station downhill; this was perfectly suitable for me as I enjoy walking. The town is beautiful with a warm, friendly neighborhood, and you can sit at LA SEDE to watch the clouds drift by while enjoying Spanish red wine. The hostel staff are helpful and friendly, and I would definitely recommend their single rooms to any solo traveler. I was pleasantly surprised to find a powerful shower and a bathtub. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I have no complaints about the decor, as it is a hostel after all! However, the train disruption made my journey quite difficult. There were limited trains from Málaga Central to Álora, but I was aware of this before I made my booking and had planned well in advance. Unfortunately, the train terminated at Cártama, and I needed to take a replacement bus, which turned a half-hour journey into an hour. Even more unfortunately, the train to El Chorro was also cancelled, and the replacement bus departure time was too late for me to start my adventure at the Caminito del Rey. I want to take this opportunity to thank the Renfe staff; without their help, I don't think I could have completed my journey. Renfe even arranged a taxi to take me to El Chorro so that I wouldn't miss my adventu"
