Perhaps a few amenities would have made our stay 5 Star, such as an in room coffee maker ( The French press was a disaster and coffee tasted like mud.) An in room mini fridge would have been helpful to chill the complimentary waters. Bathrobes would have been greatly appreciated to go along with the lovely slippers. The hotel is convenient and the food was good, but the reception area is small and the modern design is not really my taste. The rooms are fine, but the beds were not very comfortable. There is no real spa, and the gym is too small for a hotel in this category. Overall, I would rate it closer to a 3-star hotel than a true 5-star hotel. "This is a very convenient hotel to overnight on the way to the ferry ports to UK. It is about 100m from the E40 although there was no noise from the road. The room was large, very smart, air con and has tea and coffee facilities. The restaurant and bars were attractive but we took the opportunity of driving into Brugge. Check in staff were lovely. There is a local town with pubs and shops, and Brugge is just 8 Km away. The parking at -'t Zand Underground Garage is excellent plentiful, 5 mins...

"Pro: AC worked very well, bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious.
Con: Towels didn’t smell fresh. Shower didn’t drain properly. Staff made us wait to ensure they got their money from Expedia which I thought was really weird. All attention at check out went there and they didn’t ask if we had enjoyed our stay."

"We really like this hotel, the breakfast was very good, good location good parking, taxis were cheap to go into Bruges, we are especially liked Bavo at front desk, his English was better then ours and very helpful and knowable, he made our stay perfect!! The only dislike for the hotel would be no air-conditioning, but they do have fans and it wasn’t that bad but it was a heat wave, the staff is so accommodating! We will definitely come back!"

"Parking shared with the other hotels, but not an issue. Extra cost for parking (daily). Gym was clean and kit well maintained. Lots of variety at breakfast, a very good spread and fresh hot options always available. A short taxi ride into Ghent (15-20 mins). Would stay again."
