"PROS: - Wonderful pool area for relaxing on the water and large area for young kids to play. - Great sandy area for kids to play near the bar. - Fabulous views (for the suites) of the pool and ocean. - Friendly cleaning and bar staff. - Somewhat cheaper than nearby alternatives. - Amazingly close to the beach, free beach gear rental (umbrellas, chairs, boards, push-cart). CONS: - Dirty and unkempt property in need of repairs and maintenance. - No sound dampening between rooms, could hear detailed conversations between the unused room-sharing doors. - Front-desk staff were unfriendly and rude. The place was clearly understaffed. - Beds are old and uncomfortable. Pull-out beds are in desperate need of replacement. - Only clean rooms by request (but they won't tell you). - Free breakfast is typical cheap garbage seen at low-budget American hotels (we often skipped, thankfully Starbucks, IHOP, and Waffle House are nearby). Overall, we had a fabulous week at the hotel despite its issues. Great location and good amenities if you are willing to put up with a clearly dated building and beds that leave your back in pain."

"Loved the pool and everyone was very helpful"

"This was definitely an experience that was well worth the money. The place was actually bigger than the photos make it appear to be. It is so chill and relaxed at this location. The restaurant on the premises was outstanding and seeing siphons and manatees in the morning was the icing on the stay! Cranes and pelicans were right there to watch as well. Ruby is very kind and helpful. She gave me guidance on where to park and where the boat was, as well as how to key into the boat. Highly recommend this experience!!"

"My wife and I were extremely disappointed with our stay from the moment we walked in for check-in to the moment we left. Upon approaching the front desk, I noticed the employee was watching a video on her phone and a nearby maintenance worker had to alert her to my presence as she was not paying attention. She begun my check-in process, which included additional charges for early check-in and a pet fee (which we were aware of) but she charged them to a different guest with the same last name. I alerted her to the error and she made the correction and provided me with a receipt for the refund to my credit card. However the provided receipt included all the contact information for the other guest (i.e., name, email, and phone number) which made me question the security of my personal information. As for the conditions of the room, we were immediately greeted by a strong mildew odor and my wife noticed live, small cockroaches in the mini fridge. We weren’t able to put food inside the fridge that we had brought from home. After inspecting the rest of the room, we discovered more roaches in the bathroom and crawling around on various pieces of furniture. Surprisingly, the bed was moderately comfortable and appeared to be clean. Ultimately, after an uneasy night, we decided to check-out a day earlier and cut our trip short. Happy to provide pictures / videos of the roaches if requested. This visit has made us question if we’ll choose another La Quinta property in the future."

"Breakfast was ok, the hot tub was under repair (it happens) pool area very nice and refreshing. The staff was awesome, the room was clean and comfortable bed and pillows. Really thankful for the cruise shuttle that is available for a minimal cost (not run by motel but you book it through the motel upon check-in). Motel within walking distance of Burger King and a really nice Italian restaurant. Would recommend this motel. "

"Booked this hotel for the pool and outdoor fire pit. We were told pool closes at sunset and opens at sunrise, (Expedia did not indicate this), at 10 am they were using the pool cleaner machine and pool towels not regularly stocked. Pool was cold. Staff told us fire pit did not work for the past two weeks. Our hotel room ended up being handicapped accessible which I did not book specifically. Would not get that room- had a wall view to other side of hotel. No towel bar holder next to tub, no stool to put things on, not a lot of space to put your own shampoo on in shower, no garbage bin in sink area, breakfast was ok, not a huge selection, tables were often dirty, laundry room (for a hotel of 122 rooms) had one washer and one dryer, coffee water area was often messy, our room had a blinking light that we called maintenance-no one came, my husband had to grab a screw driver and remove light bulb himself, not sure why when things are broke no one fixes them. Parking was easy and close to some restaurants. "

"The hotel was a bit dirty and not in great shape. The bathroom corners had built up dirt and mirror wasn’t clean. The bedding was clean and main bed was comfortable but pull out couch mattress was in pretty rough shape. It’s fine for a quick night before a trip but not great for much more than that. The shuttle was clean and reliable and all staff were friendly. "
