"Nice clean comfortable hotel with excellent helpful staff! Parking car with small trailer stinks…required to park around periphery among full size semis and industrial services trucks with trailers, even though parking lot was not going to fill up late on a Thursday night! Cheap plastic toilet seats. Breakfast was excellent, as noted in reviews! Next observation is true of ALL Slidell hotels we have stayed at: Slidell municipal water is tinted and slick…won’t wash off soap, or even itself! If I had to stay in Slidell again without any trailer, I would happily stay at this hotel. Review lost 1 star for parking and water quality considerations."

"This rental exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of room for large family. The living room features a large sectional sofa and electric recliner. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook your own meals and includes both a full size coffee pot and a Keurig single cup. There are 2 nice sized bedrooms downstairs with their own bathrooms another bedroom right outside a full bath off of the living room a 1/2 bath. Upstairs there are 4 private bedrooms 1-1/2 bathrooms and a small living area. The home is very well constructed and meticulously designed. The wrap around porch was a nice surprise! Huge porch with seating for enjoying the lake and sunrise/sunset, a private pier to fish and a fish cleaning area. The owner was easy to work with and answered all of our questions. Easy check in and check out. Covered parking and picnic area. Well maintained swimming pool. The feel of a secluded getaway despite just minutes from retail and restaurants and a short drive from NOLA."
