Incredibly family friendly
Everything from checking in to checking out was easy and ready!! The property had tons of extra amenities which is always very helpful. The flatter land was perfect for families with children to play.

Little Getaway
Been working too hard all year. Wanted to get away (about 4 hours) so hubby could relax and do a little fishing! Place was wonderful, clean a way big enough for the two of us! House looked party ready also if there were more people staying! Thanks!

Great vacation on Kentucky lake.
Property very well maintained. Beautiful deck and great view to the lake. My family caught fish for the first time in 6 years so all were happy. Narrow roads getting to the property which is nothing to do with the owner. But still a concern for nervous people.

Wonderful week at the lake
The property was as described. The driveway into the property was much steeper than we expected and a bit of a challenge for the boat trailer. There is a turn around at the end of the road which we used later so that we could back down the driveway (external observer recommended). Henry had ATT fiber internet service installed a week before and it worked great with multiple devices attached to the wifi! The cell phone signal was weak. We have Verizon. We could send/receive texts from inside the house (although that may have been via the wifi internet). Some calls rang in and folks stepped out and were able to talk on the driveway. All in all, we found the cell phone service to be workable. Launching the boat was convenient. While the ramp is at a private marina, there is no fee and the ramp is always open. The folks at the marina were friendly and shared lots of information about the lake. Grocery shopping was done at the Walmart, about 15-20 minute drive. We ordered pickup from a couple of restaurants in Eddyville. La Pinata, a Mexican restaurant, had great food and did a wonderful job labeling the meals for 10 people. We ordered BBQ from The Joint and it was excellent! My son-in-law, a native of Kansas City, declared the ribs to the best he ever had. The grandchildren enjoyed catching panfish and catfish from the dock. They also saw deer in the morning and evening. We had a great week. Recommended location.

If you are tied to your devices this place is not for you the internet and tv situation was bad, but that is the only complaint I had. The home was beautiful and clean. The area is very quiet and wildlife abundant.We loved having the private dock for the boat. The owner of property was always available to answer questions and tried repeatedly to help with wifi problem I'm just not sure the area is acceptable to wifi. The lake is huge and beautiful we booked a guided fishing trip and caught more than 40 fish thank you crappiegillsand more .

A perfect home and scenery
This home is exactly as described plus much more. Furnished well including many additional kitchen appliances. The beds and linens were very nice. The back porch is the most relaxing place to be to watch the fish jump or listen to the many birds sing. You’re very close to the Eddy Creek marina for boating needs.

Lovely, quiet home
Very spacious, well-stocked, clean, and quiet. Was a great first-time VRBO experience! The property owner was kind and made sure everything was in order. Would highly recommend!! It was a perfect place for us to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It was close enough to the things we wanted to see and do, and far enough away to avoid any congestion.

Although we had less than perfect weather, we all had a great time here. The house is plenty big to give everyone space. 2 living rooms, 2 tables to eat at (one is the perfect height for doing jigsaw puzzles!), 2 fridges and microwaves. The view from the covered deck is so serene. We saw eagles, herons, woodpeckers and more. Our host, Henry, was fantastic in responding to any needs. The power was out when we arrived, due to a storm that had just gone through. He offered to have us go to his other property if we wanted. We waited a bit and the power came back on. But it was really nice to know we didn't have to be without power all night. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend! If we ever find ourselves in need of a place to stay in this area I would rent it again.

Great stay
We loved everything about our stay. The place was cozy and planty of space for 6 adults. The house is right on the lake with awesome views. There was a storm on our first day so we delayed our arrival to the next day. Owner was communicating with us the whole time and allowed us to stay as long as we wanted on our last day. Great stay and hopefully we'll go back soon.

New Year's Celebration
Our tradition before we sold our own vacation home was to spend New Year's at our place. So we looked for something similar. Clean and perfectly located for enjoying outdoors recreation. The only negative was I wanted a place to fish from the property as advertised with a dock for fishing and to keep a boat in. However, winter water level found the dock pretty much high and dry.

Hi Mark, thank you for staying at our house over New Years. I’m sorry that you were disappointed about the water level, I can’t do anything about that. You never mentioned bringing a boat but I hope you consider returning when the water is up in the spring. I’d be glad to have you back!

Very nice property.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and well organized. The set up of the property made it very easy for my father who is 87 to get around and enjoy activities with us. We also like how the property has doors in the middle that can be shut that allows for others not to be disturbed since I normally awake several hours before anyone else.

Very welcoming atmosphere, very clean, organized, and more than equipped (exceeded expectations) for all we needed to prep meals, enjoy the one rain day, and the outdoors with the boat slip/dock and the fire pit (huge wood pile). We rented a pontoon so the dock an xtra value plus. Great charcoal grill/smoker. Only negative was slow internet speeds certain times e.g. rain day when all other area homes habited. But had DVDs and plenty board games to have better quality family fun.

A quiet dwelling nestled away from the rush. Home has plenty of room to spread out and is clean. Great cove for swimming off private dock. Nice size backyard for young kiddos.. Short boat ride to Eddy Creek Marina (has yummy restaurant)! Timely responses from owner. Check it out!! We loved it!

If you and your family are looking for a place that is secluded and quiet this is the place for you. The house is very clear and well equipped with all your house hold things.The deck is the best every morning you are greeted by hummingbirds and the deer. The dock is very nice too. Great Place to Stay
The location was quiet and beautiful. The neighbors that we met were very friendly. The yard was very large and our dog has plenty of room to run around. We did rent a boat and had no problem docking at the property and had short access to the main lake and is close to Eddy Creek Marina. The house had everything that we needed to. Prepare the meals that we brought. and there was a dollar general really close for the things we forgot. It was also only 30 minutes from Patti’s Settlement . We would definitely stay at this location again if thinking of another Lake vacation.

We had 2 families of 4 stay and all of us commented we would love to stay longer. The owners have put a lot of consideration into many aspects. Just one example: there’s a coffee station close to the deck so adults can enjoy quietly. They go above many rentals by providing towels of various kinds and some paper products. They have ice available for purchase from the house at very reasonable price. They called when cleaning crew thought we’d left something. Don’t let 3 bedrooms indicate small; 8 fit very comfortably

Totally Relaxing
This home was as advertised and more. Very quiet neighborhood, home very well furnished with everything needed. Was a wonderful bonus to bring our dog as she like us enjoyed the cooler temperatures and the lake. Henry was exceedingly helpful and accomodating. Fishing was not what we had hoped but thats why its fishing and not catching. Would highly recommend this wonderful property to all.

Our family loved our stay in this wonderful lake home and will definitely return! Henry was extremely hospitable throughout the entire process... welcoming us, answering our questions, providing recommendations, and checking in with us after our stay. The home was exactly as described and contained everything needed for a relaxing, fun, and easy time away. The home's spacious layout offers ample places for family to gather or spread out. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking in, with a unique window for viewing the lake while prepping. The bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms spacious and convenient. The covered deck is large with lots of seating for taking in the beautiful water view, and the evening deck lighting provided the perfect ambiance. The backyard is large and perfect for activities and includes a firepit with firewood on site. The dock offers a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the calmness of the morning. We highly recommend this property to anyone planning a stay in the area!

This property was exactly as pictured. We’ve stayed at various VBRO and this one is our favorite!!
This house and property were extremely clean and in a quite little cove. Really close to Eddie’s marina to launch our boat and jet skis. Who also had a restaurant with seating outside. The private covered dock had boat and jet ski friendly bumpers. Most docks aren’t jet ski friendly so this was a huge plus. The kids swam and fished off of the dock. The house is almost like a split house. One side has two bedrooms, living room with a fold out couch, kitchen, kitchen island, dining area, full bath with walk in shower and a large laundry room. The other side has a small dining area, living room, large bedroom, bathroom with jetted tub/ shower combo and a super nice coffee bar. The covered deck on the back of the house was very spacious and beautifully decorated with string lighting. Between the dock and the deck was rock fire pit with adirondack chairs. Which was perfect for the chilly nights and s’mores with the kiddos. There is WiFi but we weren’t able to connect to it (I didn’t mention to the owner as it was not a bother to us). We didn’t mind because it allowed us to focus on enjoying our family vacation! Henry was very attentive and a pleasure to rent from. We can’t wait to stay again! I highly recommend staying here!!!!!!
