It was super! The location is great, the staff at check in and check out was wonderful.
The hot tub could have been much hotter and we had a hard time getting it to heat up, but other than that it was great and we will be back again!
The only star I took was under "Cleanliness" we had bug issues in the loft bed - the only bed in this cabin (Cabin 6). The loft bed butts right up to a window so, obviously critters can come and go as they please, in the bed! We had a spider in the bed, two wood roaches, and 5 (what I thought was) baby wood roaches. I totally understand the outdoors and cabin setting will have bugs which is why we would absolutely stay again (and because everything else was 100% perfect) but, if you have any phobias of spiders or bugs maybe think about a different cabin that doesn't have the bed setup right next to the outside window. I don't know if being sprayed by an exterminator would get rid of the issue since it is nature!
Other than that, as stated above, everything was perfect! The cabin was VERY clean and well-kept. We were only in the cabin for sleeping because we were out hiking and enjoying the AMAZING weather (almost 80 in November!). There ended up being local cable which was nice at night. Having the private hot tub was absolutely amazing! We used it every chance we got. There was a mini fridge and stove top so if you are staying for a week food storage would probably be an issue. The cabin had a futon couch also if you are traveling with kids.
In the area there wasn't much, you had to drive about 30 minutes to get anywhere but there is some amazing things to do in the surrounding counties. We went to Marengo Caves and then hiked at Hemlock's Cliff. I would HIGHLY recommend both. The hike was beyond amazing! Then we went to French Lick Winery for dinner and a wine tasting.
We will definitely be coming back!
We stayed in this cabin several years ago and decided to go back again this year. It's very quiet, lots of trees and privacy. The hot tub and the entire cabin was very clean. Check in/out was a breeze. The only thing I would say, is if you're someone who likes to sleep in, the large windows right above the bed let in a lot of light making it difficult to sleep after sunrise! It's an easy drive to French Lick and the casino. Lots of close places to fish and hike as well.
The cabin was cute enough the hot tub was nice but it was extremely noisy because it was so close to two highways the dials on The Little Oven could not be read so I was kind of guessing with that we slept downstairs on the futon and it was okay overall it was okay

Once was enough
Wifi was total joke. Last occupant washes the dishes. Eewwww! Kinda run down. Not the romantic getaway we were hoping for.
A calm and peaceful area, our little cabin was perfect for a weekend get away. With a hot tub, camp fire and a bbq what more could you ask for?! Oh wait..........with the skylight windows to watch the stars as you fall asleep and then wake up to a beautiful sunrise. I can’t recommend this place enough. A friendly and helpful checkin host, with a little shop on site to get your fire wood and ice! Definitely one of the most relaxing weekends away I’ve ever had.
We stayed this past weekend and really enjoyed our time! The cabins are a little close together, but it was still very enjoyable! The place was very clean and beautiful. I was impressed with how clean the hot tub was!!! I could see how this would be a hot spot in the summertime. They also had huge buckets of wood for only $8!
My husband and I enjoyed our weekend stay at Patoka Lake Four Seasons Resort! We were so excited to stay in cabin #6. The hot tub was wonderful to have for the weekend. We hope to rent this property again in the future.
My Fiancé and I have been having a tough 2020, as has the rest of the world and this cabin made up for all of our heartache. It was so relaxing with the best views of nature. We enjoyed the very clean hot tube and cabin so much that we rarely left the place. My fiancé especially loved the fact that there was a personal fan upstairs next to our bed. The only comment I would prepare others for is to bring your own sponge to wash the dishes with. But that is a personal preference. Overall, love, love, loved our cabin! Wish we were there now.
