"The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs. The staff gave us a check in receipt with instructions on how to operate our room lights, breakfast times, key instructions for our room, and check out info. Unfortunately we did not pay attention to the check out time but they called and reminded us. The staff were kind and extended our time for us for a small fee which we did not mind paying to be there the hour over time. The hotel was the most pleasant hotel experience we have had in all over our traveling and we will be returning again in April 2026."

Breakfast and dinner were included in our package, and the food was fabulous and very authentic. "Overall it is really an excellent hotel. Many of the rooms should be updated, but still they are adequate and spacious. The breakfast area can be busy, but there is a large adjacent room with plenty of space. The hotel staff were great. The onsen has a spacious indoor bath and plenty of washing areas. The outdoor bath is very pleasant, just be careful walking on the stone surfaces. The staff takes good care of the onsen and sauna. The location is good. You can walk to Nagahama JR station and the old town area is just beyond. The lake and the large beautiful next door park and castle is good for walking. There are not many restaurants open at night in central Nagahama, but you can probably find something."
