Lovely and relaxing retreat
This was a very well appointed property that made staying very comfortable and relaxing. Well thought out and comfortable, our stay for a week was exactly the disconnect we were looking for. Plenty of books and games to entertain along with WiFi and tv. The sound of the trees whispering outside is so relaxing. Great quiet neighborhood as well. Close enough to pop into Eastsound, Moran state park or Rosario with ease for some exploration if you’re up for it.

Lovely place
Well-built home with fully stocked kitchen. Very comfortable, quiet, inviting. Only a couple minor downsides: bathrooms are small, both upstairs, and the heating took a couple hours to seem to start to work, though instructions were clear. Overall a great place, great value.

Special Time
Wonderful and beautiful home. Extremely clean, comfortable and great location. Experiencing the Island from its location was fantastic. The town of Eastsound was charming and home close to Moran State Park. Will certainly come back!

Perfect Orcas Island Location
We loved our visit to Orcas Island - the hiking, biking, and kayaking in Moran State Park - and the house we stayed in was wonderful. The living room, dining room, and kitchen have lots of windows with beautiful trees all around - gorgeous ❤️

First Visit to Orcas Island—Perfect Home
Bright and roomy interior, quiet neighborhood, upscale and classy features. Easy to find, great directions. Two bathrooms, upstairs only. Many games and books included. Comfy living area, great kitchen. Beautiful property and visiting deer. Pretty!

Midwinter Respite
Our elementary school-aged family totally enjoyed what ended up being a cozy snowy stay on Orcas. House was awesome...especially the gas fireplace. Close to Moran and Eastsound. One thing to remember if you are traveling in the winter is a limited choice of open restaurants. That's offset by a well-appointed kitchen. We'll be back!

We loved our stay here... This home is efficient (no bathroom main level, no counters in baths) but very comfortable and well provisioned. The living level has lots of windows to take in the wooded and garden setting. It’s cozy and very peaceful and we would have loved to spend more time here. I wouldn’t say it has ‘filtered water views’, but again the quality of light and scenery in the living area is really great and a major feature of the house. It’s a great, relaxing home base for a vacation on Orcas. It’s location near Moran State Park was also nice.

Excellent escape
Perfect place for our family of four’s weeklong trip to Orcas. Beautiful home that made it fun to cook and lounge. The location was terrific—close enough to Eastsound, but only five minutes to Moran State Park and a reasonable drive on to Olga and Doe Bay.

Wonderful home -- awesome location!
Just returned from this lovely home -- stayed 3 nights (Sun-Wed) in min-July. Two days of sun, one of rain. This house is in an amazing location -- almost exactly between Eastsound town and Moran State Park. Home exceeded expectations and we would absolutely return! Home -- Great layout -- all 3 bedrooms are upstairs and main living area is all one open concept on main floor. Washer and dryer are located in downstairs basement area -- we did not use them. Windows galore let every ounce of sun into this home. Because the home is located in the woods, the light is mostly diffused. Parking available for at least two cars, one in front of the other, on a short gravel driveway that leads to the house from the paved road. A nice deck with sitting chairs and a glass table extends the main living area. Great for morning coffee. Comfy sofa and chairs in living room. Rainy day no problem as there is an amazing variety of books, board games and local interest pamphlets in the house. TV was great, too (see below). Bedrooms -- We had nice peak-a-boo views of the water (complete with gorgeous sunset!) from two of the upstairs bedrooms. The curtains on the windows let in tons of light so bring a sleep mask if you need dark to sleep. Super comfy beds and TONS of pillows. Thank you! Each room has a closet, a bureau and a place for at least one suitcase. Nicely furnished. Master bedroom is en-suite. Bathrooms -- two here -- both upstairs. Each is similar with pedestal sink, stall shower and nice skylight or window for natural light. Showers are tight. Water pressure good and shower heads are quite high. Super towels, plenty of them. Kitchen -- really nice - larger than it looks in photos. It had everything we needed (we did make dinner there one night). Only negative -- no #4 cone coffee filters (when we asked about this, property manager told us they don't provide those -- weird -- how can a guest anticipate which type of filter to bring with them?). BONUS - Roku TV here. We could watch our personal Amazon Prime + Roku offerings. Super BONUS -- house comes with 4 Mitsubishi AC units -- one for downstairs and one in each bedroom. Nice because most of the windows do not have screens -- when we tried to let the fresh air in, the yellow jackets came in as well. We wished for window screens to capture the PNW clean, crisp air. Too many forest bugs -- did not happen. GREAT HOME -- will be back.

The pictures just can't do it justice! Every window looks over the woods and some have a view of the water. Peaceful, quite, calm. What a beautiful place for my two sisters and I to have a few days to catch up since we live over 1000 miles apart. Well stocked kitchen-they thought of everything including a cappuccino machine and a french press! Loved the sky lights and the gas fireplace. Bedrooms are spacious and warmly decorated including lovely comforters and lots of baskets. We will definitely return for a longer stay!

We loved our stay at this house. It is absolutely immaculate and beautifully decorated and maintained. The downstairs is just lovely with lots of windows that connect you to the magnificent setting. The kitchen is stocked very well. The bedrooms are lovely also. The bathrooms are modern and clean. There are plenty of towels available for your use. It was a lucky find, and we would certainly return.

Quite scenic home
Loved the individual heaters in each room. Large well appointed kitchen was easy to work in. Did not care for the dim lighting, but 1 light was out over the dining table. Loved the decorations and books, books, books. Home was easy to find with directions. Bed was extremely comfortable, towels fluffy, dark and quite at night. Traveling couple said they had the best nights sleep. Really enjoyed the whale tour from Orcas Island. Did not need to bring sunglasses. The weather changed drastically, from snow on look out tower, to hail at the whaling dock. I would recommend this home. Washington traffic was the worst ever! We drove through Seattle at 11:00 am in nonstop traffic. Piles of garbage under the freeway with tents sat up between the freeways. Traveling with traffic near Anacortes and was pulled over for speeding. The police said 2 words and knew I was driving a rental car. BEWARE! Other cars were traveling faster, but...

Nice house. Good location
Its a very nice house in a nice location with a bit of a view of the Sound through the tree tops. Cleaning crew missed a few things, left a half drunk bottle of water on the floor and bits here and there, and it was freezing when we got there only to be heated slowly by two portable oil heaters we could place around the house and the fireplace. Drains in sinks drain very slowly and headboard not attached to bed. But overall very nice.

Amazing little getaway - I wish I lived here
Had a fantastic time in this wonderful house. Perfectly stocked with so many fun games, great kitchen items, and a guitar. Everything was super lovely and had some deer visit us in the front yard. Watched them thru the windows for a long time.

Island Craftsman Cottage
A beautiful newer structure. Tastefully furnished and decorated. The wooded mountainside setting was home to frequent deer roaming right outside the windows. Unfortunately we were there during less than ideal weather which didn’t allow us to take full advantage of the view possibilities. And we experienced some rather cold gale force winds while we were there but the interior remained quite warm and comfortable throughout. Much of the island lost power for a while but the local property management was very supportive. We were soon up and running again. I have given this rental 5 stars BUT there is one glaring need. ... a powder room on the first floor. It would really be a great improvement.

Charming cottage overlooking the water
Loved the cottage. Kitchen is well-equipped as is bathroom with many towels. Carla was warm and welcoming. Close to Eastsound; lots of restaurants and shopping. Spent a lot of time on deck watching sunrise and sunsets. The road into very secluded cottage is a little tricky but worth it. Would definitely recommend.

Great long weekend getaway
Tidy, well furnished, home on Orcas Island! 6 of us spent a long weekend enjoying everything Orcas had to offer. We enjoyed the ease of access to Moran State Park, Eastsound, and Doe Bay. House is well furnished, easy to cook and spend some time in the morning / evenings before exploring the island. Would be happy to stay at again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location with easy access to Eastsound, Moran State Park, Doe Bay, etc. The house itself was very clean and on the newer side. Only drawbacks that folks should be aware of (which may be in the online description but I can't seem to find it at the moment) are no BBQ and no 1/2 bath on the first floor. Overall, though, I'd definitely recommend it.

Great location, great property!
We had the best time at your lovely home in Eastsound! We came to Orcas for the first time and your home was exactly what we were looking for. There were three adults in our group and we had plenty of space. The streaming Roku device made it easy to relax with our own Netflix at night an the home was located perfectly close to Moran State Park and the shops and restaurants of Eastsound!
