East Tawas has plenty to offer! Everything from shopping, eating, golfing and a pier to walk down to see the beautiful view of Lake Huron.

We very much enjoyed the home like feel of the property. It was more enjoyable than a motel room. Way more relaxing than a motel/hotel. Hot water tank is a little small for 4 people, but easily fixed with some thought on how to share the shower time.

Family Vacation

We absolutely loved staying at Elm! The space is so charming & was perfect for my family of 4. We spent a lot of time on the enclosed patio, & the outdoor patio! You do have the noise of the highway, but that didn’t bother us too much. We also enjoyed walking down to the water & playing in the sand, before heading to the downtown beach for the day. The cabin was nestled perfectly between East Tawas & Oscoda.

Great Escape!

Our stay at this property was wonderful. The space was perfect for our needs and very comfortable. There were nice extras, such as a fire pit and laundry. The neighborhood is quiet and in a good location to get to all the area activities. The owners were very responsive to questions. We could not have asked for a better escape up north.

This was the second year we stayed here for our yearly girls trip. I highly recommend staying here. The only setback is it is not on the water but it does have a small lake access. We loved it so much we booked for our 2025 trip already. Very clean. The properyy manager was very responsive if I had a question. Looking forward to 2025.

Cabin near lake Huron

Stayed 4 nights here in late September to explore Tawas point state park and Huron national forest area. This is a clean authentic wooden cabin near lake Huron. You can hear the roar of waves and see waters of lake Huron from open side windows. Highway 23 North runs nearby and you could hear traffic noise at night (I got used to it). Cabin allows you to feel the beauty of Lake Huron. However, there are no clear access points or walk paths near the lake. For the intimate Lake experience, you need to go to East Tawas or Tawas city parks or Tawas point state park very nearby (5-7 min drive). Beautiful and calming area to explore. Everything inside and outside the cabin works. The cabin is modernized and well planned. Simple, easy to follow instructions provided on how to do things and use various services/equipment. Enjoyable experience.

We had a fantastic time! Cozy cabin just right for our two adult stay. Quiet and comfortable. The front porch was our favorite place to sit and enjoy our relaxation. You can hear the waves of the lake down the road. Highly recommend for a small family or a few friends getaway.
