"My son and grandsons from Alberta wanted to surf the beaches of Nova Scotia. I booked this cottage and it was perfect. We were able to get to both Martinique and Lawrencetown beaches and then come back to this wonderful retreat for barbecue supper and a relaxing evening with beautiful sunsets."

"We had the absolute best stay here. The house is beautiful, thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and more, exceptionally clean, and easy to live in. We loved having the ocean just steps away from the door and spent many hours exploring the shore. We were fortunate to be visited by porcupines in the early evenings, and spotted several seals in the ocean. We took two day trips into Halifax (about an hour’s drive) and also visited Clam Harbour Beach and Memory Lane Heritage Village which are closer to the house. We learned so much about the history of the area and were lucky to encounter super friendly and helpful folks along the way. The grocery store was close by so we stocked up and ate many meals in the very well equipped kitchen. Waking up to the sounds of surf and sea birds was lovely, and the sunsets weee spectacular. This vacation was superb and we will all carry happy memories of Blue Horizon forever. "

"Amazing location and setting for a quiet time on the Eastern Shore area (as show in listing photos). The main attraction for us was the private peninsula setting and classic cottage design with great views. Location is best for enjoying the cottage rather than taking sightseeing outings or dining (we did both but the drive times are longer). Would recommend to friends!"

"If you are looking for a little piece of Nova Scotia heaven, this is it! From the moment we walked through the door, every need was anticipated by the homeowner - we just needed to unpack and enjoy. The homeowner Scott dropped by to check on the hot tub and made sure that our stay was perfect. The view from the deck is stunning and fishing off the dock and paddling the kayaks provided hours of peaceful entertainment. At the end of the day we could relax in the covered hot tub. By far, this is the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at. We hadn’t even packed up to leave and had already booked our next stay. Can’t wait to return for our next picture perfect family vacation! "
