It was a wonderful stay. The owner and general manager helped her. All staff members were exceptionally good.
Breakfast was also very good .

Continues to be my chosen place to stay in Halifax. Grand old hotel with a lot of character. Great location for shops, restaurants and walking.
I’ve stayed in both the smallest and largest of rooms in the hotel, and although there are parts of the hotel that could use some fresh paint and tlc, I appreciate that the little things are always high quality: big towels, great toiletries, Nespresso machines in all the rooms, and top notch staff.
Only thing I didn’t appreciate this visit was that the housekeeping started knocking incessantly just after 8am. Saw them in the hall next door the second morning, just a bit later, but I’d avoided it by putting the Privacy sign on my door. Feels a little early to start visiting rooms, but I guess they need the time?
