"The owners gave a tour of their property, recommendations for places to visit . You felt like part of the family. Quiet and relaxing location which was walkable to some areas and short distance to drive to others . It was away from hustle and bustle of “city” life but very relaxing and convenient . Pictures don’t do the the location and atmosphere justice . We will return on our next Maine vacation."

"Amazing stay at Duck Duck Goose! Sara was wonderful to work with and provided copious information about the place and great things to do. She even came by with a kind surprise during our stay. We wanted to see the area and hike Acadia, but the house was so wonderful it was hard to leave for activities. Sara just rebuilt the outside decks and added a screened in outdoor kitchen. It was beautifully done. So wonderful to sit out on the deck with the ocean breezes and read or chat. We also enjoyed the ocean side swing and hammock. The dock was fabulous - especially at night- we were able to see the Milky Way!! We equally enjoyed the balcony off the kitchen/great room. A great place to drink coffee and plan the day. Very spacious and had everything you can imagine provided. My girls loved the puzzle table and cranked out one of Sara’s many 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. This house is close to Acadia and Bar Harbor but is so private- you almost feel like you are the only person visiting Maine!! Nicely stocked kitchen and soaps and such are provided. Nice big bathtub on the upper level. Great airflow through the house with the windows open. A very relaxing stay and so neat to see the tides rise and fall. Sunset off the dock was lovely. So much wildlife too- my husband saw an eagle fly over on multiple days. I would highly recommend Duck Duck Goose!!"

"Great stay. Cottage wash cozy. I was initially worried because it is about a 40 minute drive to the popular side of island, but we had no trouble. Roads are easy with no traffic. We actually realized we preferred beech mountain, bass harbor area which is only about a 10 minute drive. My kids loved going down to the beach area at the end of the day. We visited a nearby seafood market and got delicious food to cook at the cottage."

"Lovely cottage , amazing view, nicely appointed. Perfect outdoor space with dining table in addition to comfortable armchairs. Location is private but easy drive to our favorite restaurants in Southwest Hatbor.Living Room with large dining area very comfortable,and attractive, as are both bedrooms.The only disappointment was the shower in the bathroom, small and a tight fit for us, both of normal height & weight.None the less we had a wonderful stay."

"Lovely, fresh, and cozy place. Loved the hot tub, the deck was beautiful and I wish we had time to use the nice fire pit surrounded by the trees. Beds were comfortable and showers great. The TV is quite high and due to space the couches are not set back enough. I’m not sure with the space if you could improve it much. We got used to it. It was a great place to unwind after exploring the park and the lighthouse and seawall are just around the corner."
