The house has a very well appointed kitchen, gas BBQ, portable fans in many rooms, plenty of bath and beach towels and games for kids. He also spoiled our dog with treats and his own bed. The property is located on the main road to Chester, centrally located for day excursions to Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove."

"We would definitely choose this place again if we stay in Mahone Bay again. It was very clean, well kept and adorable. Kitchen was fully functional. Small, but perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway, or a couple with a small child. My only slightly negative comment is that the bed is a queen, not a king, and the listing does not specify the size of bed. But that's just a very minor point and I would still stay here again."

"We had a fantastic stay at Frank & Val's place on Heckman's Island. The river is so peaceful to wake up to at sunrise with the sound of loons, and we were also greeted each dawn by deer quietly roaming around the cottages. There were lots of great movies for the kids to enjoy, and we really appreciated all of the complimentary, organic & unscented amenities provided in the kitchen, laundry and bathroom. "So restful and an astoundingly gorgeous location. Couldn't be happier with the stay, the house, the area, and Phil gave such good advice! We had a glitch with the stove (our problem, not the stove) and he popped over to straighten us out in a flash.
