"Positives were room clean and tidy, reception staff polite and courteous. Only area where we were let down was the service at breakfast and the quality of the food served. On the whole a positive experience."

"The avenue of beautiful trees along the driveway entrance provided a warm welcome to our stay. And the spectacular Rhododendrons in the top parking area were lovely too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Everything was outstanding, apart from the fact the dining option ends at 9 PM sharp. Ended up at the restaurant at 8:55 PM and wasn’t offered any food. Other than that, lovely place "

"A lovely hotel in the most perfect of areas for exploring everything Durham. A little more tea and little checks of the room would’ve made it super. Only other slight disappointment was only small amounts of fruit at breakfast. Everything else was lovely including staff and general upkeep of hotel itself. Thank you for a great stay"

"Lovely stay in a great size family room. Swimming pool for the kids was great.
Staff all friendly and very helpful (we had a visit from the tooth fairy whilst there 😊 )
Pancakes for breakfast made the kids day!
Good location with car to lots of things.
Would recommend. "
