We had such an amazing time in this historic Riverside home. My kids have already asked if we can come back again! We saw a lot of wildlife: foxes, a bobcat, deer, squirrels, hawks and quail. We kayaked and fished in the river and picked wild blackberries for our pancakes.
This property is beautifully designed and maintained. Our family celebrated 2 birthdays; one first and one 87. Everything we needed was there for our comfort and convenience. The setting is gorgeous and fun for all 4 generations. Many said, let’s do this again. A superb weekend.
This is the second time we've stayed at this property. The first time was just my partner & I in the smaller cabin. We decided to go back with friends so we could rent the big lodge and it did not disappoint! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen very well-appointed. Plus the location being able to sit on the deck and watch the river and wildlife were exceptional. Highly recommend. Thank you!
Two families (4 adults 3 kids) had a great time at this home. Nice property, great deck, kids loved the tree swing. We sat and waded in the river most days. Played games most nights. Rented a raft in shady cove and rafted the Rouge one day (highly recommend). Check in and check out went smooth and communication with owners was quick and easy.
😲OMG the River is insanely beautiful!!!!! So clean! The sound of the water rushing was a total reset button. No stress here. Just peace and tranquility. Everything is here you need. The host has literally thought of Everything to make our stay perfect. We had a wedding to attend and the groomsmen got ready at our house. It was very very clean. The chairs by the river is where we had cocktails. And our morning coffee. We would love to come back !!! So nice👌😍☺
We rented both the main house and the studio cabin for two couples and three kids. They are very close together. There are several other houses/cabins close by that have different owners but we hardly saw anyone else while we were there.
The house was much bigger and nicer than the photos gave credit. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked - everything you could think of was there, including cute buckets to pick blackberries that were growing rampant.
There was a huge fenced yard on the side of the house that was accessible from the master bedroom, the big deck, and the path to the river. This made it very ideal for the pups; they could hang out there while drying off from the river. It was easy to let them out and keep them contained in the evenings and mornings. Based on the landscape we expected ticks but didn't find a single one. The kids did find and catch lots of little lizards!
Next time we will book a full week instead of just a weekend. The owners were prompt to respond to my few questions.
We had a wonderful stay at Richard’s place. Surroundings are just beautiful including a lovely historic Cabin that we thoroughly enjoyed. We loved walking up the trail and picking wild blackberries every day and even tried a little fly fishing on the river in the back of the yard where the river runs. Saw a few people catch and release. Also many dear came by in the evening, so that was a very nice treat to see. Richard was also very attentive and answered all our questions. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. :)
Four of us stayed here when in the area for fishing and an event at a nearby wine cellar. Really charming historic cabin just a short walk from the river. Comfortable in and out, with a a great deck. There are several other cabins nearby, but they appear to be vacation homes and none were occupied during our stay. We had towed a drift boat and the circular driveway was handy. The drive from the highway to the property is pretty long and bumpy gravel. Even by mid-June, blackberry vines were encroaching on the road so if you have a hulking vehicle that you are afraid of getting minor scratches on, that might stress you out. We were able to fit through OK in our full-sized pickup truck but, again, it was early in the season. We would definitely stay here again if in the area for fishing on the Rogue.
We were delighted with our stay at this well updated 1910 cabin. Very peaceful location a mile down a gravel road. Lovely vintage look that was clean and well appointed. Gigantic master bedroom with large private bath with tub. The main room is comfortable and interesting with pellet stove and bear skin rug. Plenty of comfortable furniture to relax and fun games we'd never played before. This trip was extremely relaxing and we will most likely be back.
Keep this place a secret ..it is too nice
Well laid out pet family fishing venue
Cream carpet is not a great choice for a River front dog friendly rental
Side fenced yard could use some grass seed now as a little muddy by stairs
Perfect family spot
Great riverfront property. It was very clean and inviting. I highly recommend it. There is a side cottage also available that I suggest you rent if you have a large group. It is right next to the large cabin and shares a walkway.
We came here for a family trip. The large house accommodated is nicely. I loved the kitchen. It was so well equipped I felt like I was at home. The wrap around deck is where we spent most of our time if we weren’t wading in the water. I highly recommend this place.
My family of adult children all stayed at the lodge. It was a lovely break from the pandemic. The lodge was spotless, the view from the deck divine and the kitchen was amply supplied with good cooking tools. We all had a wonderful time just basking off of the deck and visiting. I would definitely stay here again, although preferably when there isn't smoke from fires.
It was exactly what we hoped for. Beautiful large deck looking at the River, great kitchen, large dining table, comfortable rooms and furniture and nice bathrooms.
We fished, we watched stars, we BBQ’d and played games. It was wonderful!
