"The cabin was just as described and everything about the booking / arrival / departure was easy. A nice break from staying in Harrisonburg and close to the entrance of Shenandoah National Park. Would stay here again."

"We had a great time at the cozy Cub den. It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped for us to make all of our meals in..even Thanksgiving dinner! The location was well positioned to get to Luray Caverns and the mid section of Shenandoah National Park. We had plenty of room for our group of five adults and two kids. The boys enjoyed the gaming system and the hot tub was a nice treat after hiking. "

"We were greeted by a very friendly employee who checked us in. We didn't get to make any requests since we were told that every room was taken since there was a firefighters organization staying at the hotel. The room was small but was comfortable enough for one night. You could tell that this hotel had been another hotel and seemed rather old. We had a nice breakfast and the beds were comfortable."
"The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, but twice we found long black hair that wasn’t ours on a pillow and the comforter. Our towels had rips in them. One of the bedside lamps had a burned out bulb, and when I went down to the desk to ask for a replacement, there was no one there for a long period of time. I eventually gave up. The alarm on the old-fashioned clock radio in the room surprised us by going off super early in the morning. The lobby and hallways had a weird disinfectant smell. I would not stay here again."
"The first unit we checked into had both adult and baby roaches present. To the resort’s credit, they moved us promptly once we reported the issue, but the timing made the situation especially inconvenient since it was around 10 PM and we had just started settling in after returning late from a wedding event.
We were in town for a wedding and spent most of our stay attending offsite wedding events, so we did not really have the opportunity to fully explore or enjoy the resort amenities during our visit.
While the staff responded quickly, the experience impacted the rest of my stay. I spent much of the trip feeling uncomfortable, constantly checking for bugs, and worrying about bringing them home with us.
The resort offered four park passes as a goodwill gesture, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, after the experience, we did not feel particularly eager to return, so the resolution did not fully address the impact the situation had on our stay. We do have a year to use the passes, so perhaps with time we may reconsider.
In fairness, our group had three different units spread across the resort and no one else reported similar issues, so this may have been an isolated incident. However, it still significantly affected my ability to relax and enjoy the stay."
"We have stayed in this hotel before but this room was worse than the others. The bathroom needs repainting and it had mold spots on the walls. Just wasn't as well maintained as the others.
Breakfast is your typical hotel "free" breakfast. Nothing special.
Staff is always friendly. "
